Predictions: Jack's Round 24 Premier League Picks

After an entertaining game at the Emirates last week, the title race is suddenly looking a lot more interesting as we enter Round 24.

There's an extra layer of excitement on Superbru too, with our Road to the World Cup campaign now underway.

Last week, 'Weezy' won the Argentina key and this week it's the South Korea key that is up for grabs. You can read about both in this article. 🇰🇷🔑

Last round

4/10 and 9 points. Nothing compared to Weezy, but a reasonable round with a couple of Exacts thanks to Everton getting that equaliser against Leeds on Monday.

Here are my thoughts on Round 24.

Brighton vs. Everton

A clash between the two teams I probably trust the least when making predictions. Brighton ought to win, and I'm going with them due to their home advantage and Grealish being out for Everton, but it's hard to feel confident. Prediction: Brighton 2-1 Everton

Leeds vs. Arsenal

Leeds are difficult to beat at the moment, so I can't see Arsenal just turning up and rolling them over, but it suddenly feels like a bit of a must-win for the Gunners. Obviously it isn't actually a must-win, as they have a 4-point cushion at the top, but you wouldn't know it from the amount of noise from the media, the stress the squad appear to be feeling and the bizarre atmosphere there was at the Emirates last week.

It's mad to me that there were some boos from Arsenal fans at the end of last week's game. This is the best Arsenal side there's been in years and they're going to need some support if they're to finally get over the line again. I'm very intrigued to see how this match goes but I think a narrow away win is more likely than Mikel Arteta's team dropping points again. Prediction: Leeds 0-1 Arsenal

Wolves vs. Bournemouth

I think this might be another game where Bournemouth have the better of things but it ends level. Wolves aren't going to stay up but they're looking a lot more solid now and Bournemouth rarely win away. Prediction: Wolves 1-1 Bournemouth

Chelsea vs. West Ham

It's been a positive start for Liam Rosenior at Chelsea and when you look at their upcoming league games, this is a real opportunity to put a big run together and continue building the momentum he's enjoying at the start of his reign. West Ham are obviously a bit more dangerous than they were 2 weeks ago, but Chelsea ought to get the job done. Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 West Ham

Liverpool vs. Newcastle

This needs to be a win for Liverpool. I said last week that I thought playing Bournemouth was ideal as a chance to get out of their drawing rut, so I think their defeat there is a really bad one (they'd have obviously preferred another draw). Having put that behind them by scoring a lot of goals in midweek, you'd think Liverpool will now comfortably beat Newcastle who haven't been great away from home in the PL all season. I'm going with a home win, probably more based on Newcastle's record at Anfield rather than recent Reds performances. Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Newcastle

Aston Villa vs. Brentford

Aston Villa's approach of just re-signing former players in this window is quite a fun one and I'm excited to see how both Tammy Abraham and Douglas Luiz get on. Luiz is sorely needed given how many injuries Villa suddenly have to key midfielders, and while I think those absentees may cost them a few points in upcoming games, I'm still not convinced Brentford can win at Villa Park. Prediction: Aston Villa 3-1 Brentford

Manchester United vs. Fulham

As everyone is saying, this will be a fascinating test of Michael Carrick's ability to win the more 'routine' games having done so well against City and Arsenal. United being capable of the odd big performance isn't new, and while 2 in a row arguably is, showing consistency in matches like this is what will determine whether or not Carrick keeps the job long-term in my opinion. Fulham are a very well coached side under Marco Silva and I'm wondering if they manage a point. Prediction: Manchester United 1-1 Fulham

Nottingham Forest vs. Crystal Palace

Nottingham Forest have had a good last few results and seem on the up, whereas Crystal Palace are fighting even more fires than last week I think. I actually feel quite bad for Palace fans and wouldn't mind seeing them get a result but it's hard to feel confident about where the next one might be coming from.. Prediction: Nottingham Forest 2-0 Crystal Palace

Tottenham vs. Manchester City

Spurs have been consistently good in the Champions League and consistently bad in this competition so I'm going to try and not let that result in Frankfurt cloud my judgement here. It's hard to look at Tottenham's home league record and not pick Manchester City. Prediction: Tottenham 1-3 Manchester City

Sunderland vs. Burnley

Is it crazy to predict Burnley to draw a fourth game in a row? Stranger things have happened - Celta Vigo had 7 1-1 draws in 8 games earlier this season in LaLiga.

Sunderland are unbeaten at home so I'm definitely not backing Burnley to be the team that breaks that run, but Granit Xhaka is a huge miss for the hosts. I think this might finish level. Prediction: Sunderland 1-1 Burnley

Best of luck with your own Round 24 predictions!
