Road to the World Cup: First Key Winner Confirmed

The first key in our Road to the World Cup campaign has officially been won! Congratulations to 'Weezy' (Corey Window from Australia), who has earned the Argentina key by achieving the best score in Round 23 of our Premier League Predictor.

By winning this key, Weezy is the first confirmed player to be taking part in the Superbru 48 this summer - an exclusive prize league we will be running during the World Cup Predictor with a guaranteed prize pool of at least £2,500.

Weezy scored 22 points in Round 23 of the Premier League Predictor to earn the Argentina key.

A phenomenal score in such an unpredictable round, he had 9/10 picks correct with 5 Exacts. Standout predictions included Burnley 2-2 Tottenham and Nottingham Forest's 0-2 away win at Brentford.

On the Superbru Football app, you can head to the World Cup tab and see that the Argentina key has been updated to show it has been won by Weezy. From there, you can tap on his profile and see his predictions in full, but we've also provided a screenshot below:



We've spoken to Corey to congratulate him on winning the first key and to find out a bit more about how he went about making such accurate predictions.

He's delighted to have earned a spot in the Superbru 48 and says getting the highest score of anyone in a single Premier League Predictor round is a great fact to have for when someone says "Tell me something interesting about yourself"?

On Burnley vs. Tottenham: "I know Tottenham are struggling in the league and Burnley have had a bit of a turn in their performances and can get some scrappy goals"

On Forest and his overall Predictor form: "Nottingham Forest were due a good result. However, if you look at my past results, my fortunes turned around when Carrick took control of United, and well maybe their performance and my tipping are aligned".

It'll certainly be interesting to see if Corey (and Michael Carrick) can keep it up for the remainder of the season.

It will be awarded to the top performer in Round 24 of our Premier League Predictor.
