Introducing: Road to the World Cup

2026 is a huge year for football fans as the FIFA World Cup takes place this summer. Of course, the World Cup will also be the standout tournament on Superbru this year, and we're excited to announce that we have a big build-up planned.

Introducing... the Road to the World Cup.
Qualify for the Superbru 48, our exclusive World Cup prize league. Play your way into the league by winning 1 of 48 keys.

Between now and kick-off in Mexico on June 11th, all Superbru Football players have the chance to qualify for an exclusive prize league that will be running for our World Cup Predictor. We're calling the league the Superbru 48.

Over the next few months, 48 keys will be available to win across Superbru Football. Each key unlocks a spot in the prize league.

That means 48 players will compete in the Superbru 48 World Cup prize league this summer for a guaranteed prize pool totaling a minimum of £2,000.

Further details on the prize pool will be released as we get closer to the tournament.

The 48 keys

Many of you will have already put two and two together and realised that 48 is also the number of nations competing in this year's expanded World Cup format.

Each key represents a nation at the World Cup (hence some of them are still TBC!). If you win the Cape Verde key, for instance, that key will become attached to your Superbru profile and you'll have earned the Cape Verde spot in the Superbru 48.

It does not matter which key you win, qualifying for the Superbru 48 is what's important. If you qualify for the league, you then have a chance of winning the Superbru 48 if you predict well this summer, and the winner of the league will of course receive the top prize.

However, as an extra layer of fun, we're also adding a sweepstake element to this Road to the World Cup campaign and therefore the Superbru player who has the key representing the nation that ends up winning the 2026 World Cup will also receive an additional bonus prize.

How to win a key

Very soon, a Road to the World Cup section will appear on our website and on the Superbru Football app. This section will outline which keys are available when and how you can win them.

Ways in which you can win keys will vary, but almost half of them will be available for achievements within our most popular current tournament, the Premier League Predictor.

All will be revealed soon on the new Road to the World Cup tab, but other ways in which you can earn a key to the Superbru 48 will include good Predictor performances during the knockout stages of this season's Champions League and Europa League campaigns, pre-registering for the World Cup Predictor (link coming soon), inviting new friends to a World Cup Predictor league once the tournament is live, and even getting a strong score in a World Cup quiz that we'll be doing nearer kick-off.

The best place to keep track of everything that goes on will be our Superbru Football app. Already the best place to play our football Predictor games, there will soon be a 'World Cup' tab added which will be home to all you need to know about the upcoming World Cup generally and this Road to the World Cup campaign.

When is the first key available?

A full announcement will follow in due course once the Road to the World Cup campaign is live, but the first key to be made available will be the Argentina key and it will be up for grabs within our Premier League Predictor.

The Argentina key will be awarded to the global winner of an upcoming individual round, so whether you've been playing our Premier League game already or not, you have a chance to win the first key by joining the tournament now.

Hope President Donald Trump does not make it difficult for the FIFA World Cup tournament

I didn't realise that Trump is on Superbru. He'll want to win the USA Key, which might be the last key, unless Zanzibar qualify. I presume that a bru may only win 1 Key, so he'll probably wait for the last tournament. 15 Jan 18:07
