Road to the World Cup: Australia key winner confirmed
The latest Premier League round was Round 27 which finished with Everton 0-1 Manchester United on Monday night, and within our Road to the World Cup campaign, the Australia key was up for grabs.
The top eligible performer was 'wynie' (Wynand Heunes from South Africa) which means he's the latest confirmed participant in our Superbru 48 cash prize league.
If you still don't know about the Road to the World Cup campaign we are running, read the full article explainer. The Superbru 48 will be an exclusive league made up of 48 key holders in this summer's World Cup Predictor. The total prize pot in the Superbru 48 will be at least £2,500.
Here are the picks that won wynie the Aussie key, including an excellent Exact for Chelsea 1-1 Burnley.

As you can see, Wynand took the unorthodox approach of predicting very few goals in Round 27. When replying to our email to confirm his place as the key winner, he gave us some insight into the methodology behind his picks.
"I've had some up and down rounds over 10 years of playing Superbru, sometimes I read up on the upcoming games, sometimes I just go with my gut feel"
"After a disastrous Round 26 [2.5pts scored] where I'd spent lots of time reading up on the teams, I decided I'd just go with my gut in Round 27 and because draws and low scoring matches had been consistent in the last few rounds that certainly influenced my predictions"
As for the Superbru 48 league, wynie can't wait to be involved:
"I am truly excited to test my skills against some of the best Superbru predictors. I know I only have an outside chance, just like the team I have drawn with my key, but hey life is full of surprises!
Reminder: Just like wynie has here, key winners will be contacted via email and must confirm their place in the Superbru 48 by responding to us. A couple of winners haven't, meaning after a week or so places will instead be offered to the next highest ranked players or equivalent.
As wynie has proven, even if you have a terrible week in one round, it doesn't diminish your chances of winning a Road to the World Cup key with a standout round a week later.
The next round, Round 28, begins on Friday night when Wolves take on Aston Villa and the Croatia key will be the key that is up for grabs in Round 28 🇭🇷🔑

Whether your approach will be to show Luka Modric level talent, Josko Gvardiol style tenacity or you simply just want the Croatian key as much as Harry Redknapp always wanted to sign Niko Kranjcar, we wish you the best in your pursuit of the Hrvatskog ključa.
Congratulations once again to wynie and good luck to all this weekend!

Happy cherry picking JP... 27 Feb 08:34
There seems to be some confusion about the expressions 'Bite of the cherry' & 'Cherry-picking'. Mark refers to the fact that I only play in about half the contests whereas he goes in all. If I do 'Cherry Pick' then its the HARDEST to reach ones rather than the smallest global interest ones. Going in everything is bit like buying raffle tickets by the book load or throwing darts by the handful - "Hey whataya know, I hit the bullseye!". To each their own. You get back what you put in but I could do without SB giving a free-ride to 'Middle of the 28 Feb 15:45
