Premier League Fantasy on Superbru
We've been listening to feedback over the last few years, and we are now excited to bring fantasy football back to Superbru for the new Premier League season.
Game format
The Premier League fantasy game follows the same sort of format as our other fantasy games. There's no budget, player prices or financial market, but you are limited by the number of players you can select per team - you are only allowed two players from any one Premier League side.
This format is designed to be simple to understand, but tricky enough to prompt some difficult selection decisions and importantly to promote differentiation between everyone's teams. It's no fun if we all have the same players.
Transfers
Each week, you'll be allowed up to three transfers. Sometimes you'll feel like you need more, other weeks you'll feel like you have spare transfers. They do not carry over to the following week, and you don't have to use them all up, but that should be sufficient for you to optimise your lineup each week.
There are also two rounds in the season when you'll be allowed to make unlimited transfers - after Round 11 and after Round 26, when there is a two-week break between matches. This roughly divides the season into three sections, and should help people set up their squads for the busy Christmas period, and for the season run-in when there are likely to be postponements and rounds with some teams playing twice.
Feedback
Have a play with the game, select your squad and let us know what you think. We are not trying to compete with the official Premier League fantasy game, with the more complex rules, fluctuating player prices, chips and so on, but we think this will add further excitement to our Premier League offering on Superbru.
We are still running the Fantasy 5-a-side game, where you pick 5 players each week and win fantasy points for their performance. We have had some very positive feedback on this format, and it offers the enjoyment of fantasy without the stress of managing a squad and making transfers each week.
And of course, we have our Premier League Predictor game, with cash prizes of up to £20,000 every single week!
We will consider prizes for the two fantasy game formats and announce them in due course.
Good luck!
