World Cup 2023: Day 12 Preview
We were treated to quite a day yesterday at the RWC with the headline game living up to expectations in what was undoubtedly the match of the tournament thus far.
Today, we have two matches taking place to round off Round 3, including another standout fixture in the late evening slot.

Day 11 began with a GSP buster for almost everyone but what a game it was between Georgia and Portugal. The underdogs came so close to a famous RWC win but the penalty that they had with the last kick of the game was sent wide of the posts by Guedes meaning it remained 18-18.

This was always likely to be the least competitive fixture of the day, and so it proved with England easing to a dominant win after a slow start. Henry Arundell stood out on his RWC debut with no fewer than 5 tries!
đżđŚ South Africa 8-13 Ireland âď¸
â Result predicted by 14% of Superbru players
đŻ Exact margin predicted by 2.2% of Superbru players
Finally, we had the big game between the world's top two sides and it arguably somehow exceeded expectations, if anything. A competitive, ridiculously physical encounter was won by Ireland which means they are now in firm control of Pool B.
The Irish still have to play Scotland, which means nothing is certain just yet, but top spot in Pool B is likely to result in a quarter-final with New Zealand while the Springboks are now expected to face hosts France should they progress as Pool B runners-up. Another clash between South Africa and Ireland in this tournament is possible if both make the final.

It's been two weeks since Scotland's opening RWC game which they lost to South Africa, but they're finally back in action today and they carry the favourites tag into this clash with Tonga. That's not to say Tonga don't have a chance, as they showed considerable strength and quality during the opening half hour of their first match against Ireland, but maintaining that level of intensity for the full match will be the challenge for Toutai Kefu's team.
đ´ó §ó ˘ó ˇó Źó łó ż Wales vs. Australia đŚđş
â° Kick-off at 21:00 local time
đ Groupama Stadium, Lyon
Round 3 ends with a vital fixture in Pool C, with Australia needing a victory if they're to keep their realistic hopes of progressing to the quarter-finals alive. Having lost to Fiji in Round 2, there's now immense pressure on Eddie Jones and the Wallabies, though Wales fans will of course also be sick with nerves throughout today given that an Australia win would make things very tight indeed between these two nations and Fiji in the fight for a place in the knockouts.
Picks are relatively even on Superbru for this last game, but there's a majority expecting Wales to edge it following the Wallabies' loss in Round 2. Good luck with your own predictions and enjoy today's matches!

I mean if we have a fantasy team competition we need to get the team line-ups before the round start.
