URC: Round 13 Predictions
The URC returns this week, and the main consideration is which squads will be most heavily-affected by international call-ups ahead of the Six Nations next week.
Here are my URC predictions for Round 13.

Round 13 also includes a fixture between the Sharks and the Stormers next weekend as they make up a game in hand while no other clubs are playing due to the start of the Six Nations. On Superbru, this means it's a double fixture round for both the Sharks and the Stormers, meaning players from those teams have two opportunities to score points in our fantasy game.
Here are my URC predictions for Round 13.

Scarlets v Bulls
If both teams were at full-strength, I’d back the Scarlets, but I fancy the Bulls for this one. Bulls by 4Ulster v Stormers
This is a really tough pick, and although most people will pick the travelling Stormers, I’m going with a home win for Ulster. Ulster by 2Benetton v Munster
This Italian team is clearly tough to beat at home, and I keep falling into the trap, but... Munster by 4Dragons v Glasgow
This would normally be a big win for Glasgow, but with a few absentees, it could be closer than it might have been. Glasgow by 7Leinster v Cardiff
Leinster will be the most heavily-affected squad providing many players to Ireland, but they also have the greatest depth and should be too strong for Cardiff. Leinster by 13Edinburgh v Sharks
This is another tough one, and whilst the Sharks’ record away from home is not the greatest, I still fancy them for a win here with some of the home players missing. Sharks by 4Connacht v Lions
Connacht have beaten the likes of Munster and the Sharks at home this season, and should win this one against the Lions. Connacht by 7Zebre v Ospreys
Could this be a first win for the Zebre? I’m not brave enough to pick it. Ospreys by 4Round 13 also includes a fixture between the Sharks and the Stormers next weekend as they make up a game in hand while no other clubs are playing due to the start of the Six Nations. On Superbru, this means it's a double fixture round for both the Sharks and the Stormers, meaning players from those teams have two opportunities to score points in our fantasy game.

Scarlets by 8 ; Sharks by 12 ; the rest, are tricky but seem like the right choice.

Do sth with those stupid limits, i have only three players available on all my benched and field players, too many changes in squads too many new players, have to give up with this round

Hey Marcin. There will be many brus in the same position, so you can still score reasonably and get a few green arrows. Three wings, three loose forwards and a hooker; with one of your wings on kicking duty, is enough to get you a decent score. 27 Jan 15:01

You can make as many transfers as you want - it just costs you 10 points per transfer after the first six. These players will be gone for six weeks, so you may as well lose 100 points out of the nearly 2000 I have and build a new squad 27 Jan 18:15

Zebre won't get a better chance to win a game this season - got to be worth a try

First time i agree with all your picks, the absence of the six nations players makes it a lot easier

@TheVikingKing what happened to the Bulls? Seems like with me picking against the Bulls is finally paying off. I'll never stop picking against the Bulls even if the Bulls (by some miracle or fluke) reach the 1/4 final or semi final, I'll still pick against them even if it means supporting a non South African team.

Lol that's true. Sharks are the only SA team that won this weekend plus sharks have 2 games in hand so we can easily catch up to the Bulls and if we win our remaining games, we could pass the Bulls. I love this friendly banter

That is alot of "ifs". And the Bulls was the only SA team that won three weekends ago. But for now, the Sharks are 7th and the Might Bulls are 4th... I am happy to live in that world.

Well done Leon, now you just need to correctly pick the outcome of the Sharks v Stormers to get the Slam Point. Good luck! I went for Bulls, but the Scarlets were too good. Only 8% got it right, so you should be in for a lot of green arrows. 30 Jan 07:31
