URC: Round 12 Predictions

After a couple of weeks off in which I got nearly all of my picks right, obviously, I’m back for my first URC picks article of 2023.

Happy new year, and here are my URC predictions for Round 12.

Dragons v Bulls

I think the Bulls will win this, although the Dragons at home shouldn’t be a pushover. Bulls by 6

Munster v Lions

This is likely to be fairly one-sided, and I’m hoping this is the start of Munster’s resurgence for which I’ve been waiting for a while. Munster by 23

Benetton v Ulster

Ulster’s record against Benetton is very strong, and although I’m wary of picking against the Italians at home, I’m tipping Ulster here. Ulster by 4

Edinburgh v Zebre

This should be an easy win for the Scots against the winless Zebre. Edinburgh by 23

Cardiff v Scarlets

This is a tricky one, but the Scarlets are having a tough season and I suspect this will be another home win. Cardiff by 9

Connacht v Sharks

I’m tempted to pick a home win here, but the Sharks have been on form since their change of coaching personnel and I’ll take my chances with an away win. Sharks by 4

Ospreys v Leinster

This looks like an obvious one, but just check the team news before locking in your margin. Leinster by 23

Glasgow Warriors v Stormers

This is a real test of the champions’ mettle away from home, and I fancy Glasgow here given they have not been beaten at Scotstoun yet.. Glasgow by 4
