URC: Round 13 Predictions

There are some tough picks to make this week, and there are two notable clashes at the top and bottom of the table.

Here are my picks for Round 13 of the United Rugby Championship.

I think the Bulls have a chance in Dublin in the top-of-the-table battle, but a home win looks most likely and I actually suspect it will be relatively comfortable by the end.

Elsewhere, I’ve backed the Sharks to win again, and Glasgow to beat the Scarlets, whilst the others look relatively straightforward.

Bulls to beat Leinster. Ireland are not at the top of their game at the moment. No Sexton, no Ringrose. Ringrose's absence is making a significant difference to the team performance.

Leinster will definitely win and will also deny the Bulls any points. Sharks to grab a 5 pointer by getting 4 or more tries and will win by more than 10 points and Ulster to upset the Stormers by also denying them a losing bonus point 28 Mar 13:14

Maybe the other 2 teams will be lucky. I\'m glad that you agree that the Sharks will win. Next weekend the ICC and EPCR resumes and the Sharks take on Zebre in the round of 16. So we need a win on Saturday to keep the winning momentum going. 28 Mar 15:25

You also said "Wales will win" V Italy. Have you seen the Bulls backline? Arendse, Moodie, Willie Le Roux. Leinster no Ringrose, Sexton, no Hugo Keenan. Le Roux is the best fullback in the world. Jake White would love to get one over Jacques Nienaber, and Jake has a coaching pedigree of coaching players to become Springboks. Let's say Leinster "might" win. But Bulls are peaking and have learnt how to play away in Europe. And have beaten Leinster away last time. So, the same again?

My point exactly- he has retired - and he was the captain, and he used to drive STANDARDS. And Ringrose is a similar player like him who helps other players prepare their own games, beyond just being good himself. So Ireland/ Leinster are the less for the loss of those two players, because of the effect on the TEAM. 28 Mar 17:34

It worked in the urc final when I was the one of the few South Africans to predict Munster to best the Stormers in the Final. I agree that my predictions haven\'t always gone my way but I\'ll keep on predicting against the Stormers and Bulls and occasionally the Lions. 28 Mar 15:29

I\'m a Sharks fan and will always be one. The other SA teams are good but get a bit arrogant when they win. They then make excuses if they lose and blame the ref.
