URC: Quarter-Final Predictions!

The knockout stages of the URC begin this weekend, with 8 teams in with a shot at some silverware.

Here are my URC predictions for the quarter-finals this weekend.

Ulster v Connacht

I can’t see anything but a home win here, given the recent history between the teams and home advantage for the Ulstermen. Ulster by 13

Stormers v Bulls

This is an interesting one with some Bulls fans feeling confident after their demolition of the Leinster C team. I think the Stormers will be ready for what they know will be coming, and the reigning champions will go through. Stormers by 7

Leinster v Sharks

I expect Leinster to win the trophy this year, and will still be angry that they didn’t claim the inaugural title last season. This should be a comfortable home win. Leinster by 16

Glasgow v Munster

This is the toughest pick of the round for me, given Munster’s pedigree in important matches, but I’m siding with the home team here to remain unbeaten at Scotstoun this season. Glasgow by 4
