United Rugby Championship: Round 9 Predictions

There are just 2 matches surviving the latest round of Covid cancellations, with derbies in Wales and Ireland on New Year’s Day.

Here are my United Rugby Championship predictions for Round 9 this weekend.

Scarlets v Ospreys

The Ospreys have had a good season so far, but the Scarlets tend to have the upper hand in this rivalry, and I’m backing a home win in the first match of 2022. Scarlets by 6

Connacht v Munster

Munster lost to the Ospreys in their last URC outing, but that was way back in October. They have won 8 of their last 9 against Connacht, and whilst home advantage could be a key factor, I’m backing the stronger side on paper. Munster by 4
