United Rugby Championship: Quarter-Final Predictions

With the regular season done and dusted, we’re into the Quarter-Finals with plenty of representation from both hemispheres.

Here are my URC predictions for this weekend.

Ulster v Munster

This could be the toughest pick of the round on Friday night, with two Irish heavyweights going head to head. Munster have won the last 3 in a row against Ulster, but I’m finding it hard to pick against the home team in the first quarter-final. Ulster by 2

Bulls v Sharks

Like in the first game, the away side has had the better of recent meetings, and the Sharks beat the Bulls at Loftus earlier in the season. I’ll study the lineups before locking my pick, but for now I’m backing another home win. Bulls by 4

Leinster v Glasgow

This one looks more straightforward, with the top seed against 8th placed Glasgow, who only managed two away wins all year. And having been beaten in the Heineken Champions Cup final, Leinster won’t let this trophy slip through the net. Leinster by 16

Stormers v Edinburgh

An upset here isn’t off the table, but the Stormers have been fairly formidable at home and will start as firm favourites. Stormers by 9
