Super Rugby Pacific: Round 3 Predictions

Round 2 was a tricky beast, and despite being tempted to pick both of the upsets last week, I played it safe and it cost me.
This weekend should be more straightforward, kicking off with Moana Pasifika’s competition debut.
Here are my Super Rugby predictions for Round 3.

Moana Pasifika v Crusaders
The Crusaders have made plenty of changes for this one, taking the opportunity to rest many of their All Black stars, but this is still expected to be a very comfortable win. A tough start for Moana Pasifika.
Crusaders by 38Fijian Drua v Rebels
The Rebels have disappointed so far, but this is a good opportunity to open their account for the season, particularly as the struggling Drua are also missing their captain.
Rebels by 16Force v Reds
The Reds are 2 from 2 so far, but have a few injury problems, whilst the Force will be looking forward to their first home game of the season. No playing it safe this time.
Force by 4Blues v Chiefs
The Blues squandered a lead late on against the Hurricanes last week, but I think they’ll beat the Chiefs here, and we’ll hopefully see Beauden Barrett back on the field at some stage.
Blues by 9Hurricanes v Highlanders
The Canes have scored 65 points against the two best New Zealand sides, and I think they’ll comfortably beat the Highlanders in their first home game of the season.
Hurricanes by 13Brumbies v Waratahs
This should be a comfortable home win for the Brumbies against a team they’ve beaten 8 times in a row.
Brumbies by 16
Look a very strong side and will be hard to best in their backyard
