Preview: European Rugby Finals take place this weekend

We're set for a big weekend of cup rugby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as both of this season's EPCR finals take place.

That of course also means there's a lot at stake on Superbru in the coming days with leaderboards about to be settled for the season.

Here's quick overview of each event.

EPCR Challenge Cup Final: Gloucester Rugby vs. HollywoodBets Sharks

The Challenge Cup Final is the first to take place this weekend as Gloucester face the Sharks on Friday night.

Both teams have had underwhelming league seasons in the Gallagher Premiership and United Rugby Championship respectively, so there's a lot riding on this as they each look to finish the campaign with a trophy. Winning the Challenge Cup also results in a place in next season's Investec Champions Cup which neither teams have qualified for through their leagues.

Here's a look at the lineups that were released earlier today.

Feel free to drop your final prediction in our EPCR Challenge Cup Predictor in the comments! Hutch is going with Gloucester by 5...

Investec Champions Cup Final: Leinster vs. Toulouse

This Saturday's main event sees the final that many were hoping for this season as Leinster take on Toulouse.

Having been beaten in each of the last two finals by La Rochelle, Leinster will be hoping this change in opposition will result in third time lucky as they aim for a record equalling fifth Champions Cup title. The team that holds that record? Toulouse. So the French giants are out to extend their record with a sixth.

Toulouse's most recent triumph was in 2021 against La Rochelle (also in London) while Leinster haven't lifted the trophy since 2018 when they beat Racing 92 in Bilbao.

It's a very tough final pick to make in our Predictor and the community will likely be split which makes for a very interesting final round.

In our fantasy game, the salary cap is removed for the final round which means you can fill your squad with plenty of star names.

The teams will be announced tomorrow afternoon but Hutch has already decided he's going with Leinster by 2! Let us know if you agree with him in the comments.

Enjoy the finals and don't forget that picking the right team is worth 3pts in each of the Predictor tournaments!

EPCR : Sharks by 3 or if they play really well and keep their discipline to a minimum ie no yellow or red cards, then Sharks by more than 7. But winning is the main objective so even by 1 point will be sufficient.

@Theogod, a little ambitious that Gloucester will win by so much. Good luck with your picks. The team that has the best discipline will win 23 May 18:18

The Sharks mustn't read too much in the game 2 weeks ago otherwise they will be smash by Gloucester! Still a tough one, but i think the Sharks forwards will keep them in the game

I knew it ! They left their best performance/game for 2023/2024 till their last. If they can play like that every game with/without their Springboks, they will be a force to be reckoned with. 25 May 10:23

Not Leinster nor Toulouse would beat the sharks tonight. They are exceptional !!

Yup. The Sharks have proven all their critics wrong to show what can be done. They accomplished what they set out to do from the start. Let\'s hope they can carry this momentum to next week and beat the Bulls in Durban. There will be a lot of tired bodies but it will be a nice follow up and to also end the season with a win even though it won\'t change anything but just to deny the Bulls a double over the Sharks. 24 May 21:19

Did not expect the win margin but it was a very good game 24 May 21:24

Neither did I. I had the Sharks to win by 3. It\'s the best I\'ve seen the Sharks play all season. Their season has been VERY disappointing (and I\'m a Die Hard Sharks supporter). Their discipline was good tonight (except for the yellow card) and the kicking at posts by Siya Masuku was excellent as always (pity about the one penalty kicked he missed, otherwise it would have been 9/9 kicks 24 May 21:38
