Premier League: Round 38 Predictions
I was reasonably pleased with 7/10 in Round 37, with Brighton's win over Liverpool particularly helpful for my leagues, but we're now all looking to finish strong in what should be an eventful Sunday.
My global ranked peaked after Round 35 so I'm hoping to get back inside the top 2,000 players globally if I can in this final round as well as winning some of my leagues. Whatever your target might be, best of luck!
Before we get into it, if you've been enjoying the Premier League Predictor and these articles throughout the season, we've also got the newly revamped FIFA Club World Cup coming up this summer.
As a fresh event, it's brand new to Superbru and we're excited to see how it plays out. The game is already live for you to join and I'll be writing Insights previews for each game which given how unfamiliar many people are with some of the clubs involved, should hopefully prove very useful for those of you that support us with a Premium subscription.
Chelsea and Manchester City are the Premier League teams involved in the Club World Cup but they each have a job to do this weekend first... Here are my thoughts on each game in the final round of the Premier League 2024-25 season.

Bournemouth vs. Leicester
As I've said all season, Bournemouth don't tend to enjoy favourable home games for some reason, but surely they'll come out on top here. Leicester will be without Jamie Vardy who played his final game for the club last week and Bournemouth should be able to cope with the remaining Foxes attackers. Prediction: Bournemouth 2-0 LeicesterFulham vs. Manchester City
I had my doubts about Manchester City coming through that midweek game vs. Bournemouth following their FA Cup final defeat but now that they have (what a goal by Marmoush by the way!), I think they'll be OK in this game against Fulham. Fulham had a great result at Brentford last week which will have meant a lot to their fans but there's nothing at stake for them here whereas City still need to secure at least a point. Prediction: Fulham 0-2 Manchester CityIpswich vs. West Ham
The dead rubbers are often the toughest games to predict in these final rounds but it's still a stretch to pick Ipswich to win a home game when they've done so just once all season. West Ham are far from a good side at the moment but they should be the better organised team defensively and I think Jarrod Bowen has a good chance of continuing his strong finish to the campaign. Prediction: Ipswich 1-2 West HamLiverpool vs. Crystal Palace
This has the potential to be one of those final round matches with a pretty bonkers scoreline in my opinion (not that I'm going too crazy with my prediction) and we already saw a 4-2 for Palace in midweek. With both teams celebrating trophy wins this season, I'm just expecting positive vibes and a few goals to be honest. Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Crystal PalaceManchester United vs. Aston Villa
To be the losing team in a Europa League final that short of quality tells you a lot about where United are currently, and make no mistake that result was an absolutely colossal blow to the club. It's really hard to see how United make a quick return to Champions League football now and this final Premier League game coming after Bilbao is one they could really do without. Villa, on the other hand, need to give it absolutely everything to give themselves a chance of a place in the Champions League, so they're the logical team to pick. Prediction: Manchester United 1-2 Aston VillaNewcastle vs. Everton
Newcastle will be slightly frustrated that there's pressure on them on this final day because they played well enough to get a better result at Arsenal last week, but their recent home form suggests this will be comfortable enough for them. Everton are also in decent form but I can't see them getting anything here with Newcastle in desperate need of three points. Prediction: Newcastle 2-0 EvertonNottingham Forest vs. Chelsea
Huge. Home advantage could well count for a lot for Nottingham Forest against this young Chelsea team, but it feels like the Blues are the form team and so long as they keep their composure under such pressure, I think the visitors will sneak it. Of course, it's very hard to predict how players will cope in that environment, but Moises Caicedo and Reece James were excellent in last week's win over Manchester United and there's plenty of pressure on the Forest team too. Prediction: Nottingham Forest 0-1 ChelseaSouthampton vs. Arsenal
Arsenal can play without any fear here following last week's win over Newcastle so this should be routine. Hopefully, the teams coming up to replace Southampton will be more competitive next season as they haven't given us too many dilemmas in this Premier League Predictor but it's going to be very tough for any newly promoted side nowadays. Prediction: Southampton 0-4 ArsenalTottenham vs. Brighton
Like many others, I doubted it would happen, but Tottenham deserve credit for finally getting a trophy and that of course includes Ange Postecoglou who finally showed some necessary pragmatism in that final to get his team over the line. Even if Postecoglou does still lose his job as some reports have suggested, winning a trophy at Tottenham is an impressive thing to have on your CV considering the names that have failed. There will naturally be a party atmosphere for this game but you'd think it will be tough for Spurs to beat Brighton after several days of celebration since Wednesday? They haven't cared about their Premier League results for a while so I'm not sure why that would change for this final game. Prediction: Tottenham 1-2 BrightonWolves vs. Brentford
Finally, this could be any scoreline really. I feel like Wolves might win as the home side? Brentford were flying but last week will have been very tough to take so I'm far less confident in them winning what will probably be quite an open game here. Prediction: Wolves 3-2 BrentfordGood luck with your own final predictions and thank you to those that have read and engaged with these pieces throughout another season. As always, it's been fun 🫡
