Premier League: Round 33 Predictions
My Round 32 performance certainly wasn't as good as Round 31 since I failed to get any Exacts, but I was reasonably pleased with 7/11 as I only missed the games that were correctly predicted by <10% of the community.
We now have an Easter weekend round which has ended up with 12 matches due to fixtures being rescheduled around the FA Cup. Like last week, I'll add my thoughts on the additional midweek games in the comments once we're through the weekend.
Here are my thoughts on the first 10 games. Feel free to leave your own picks in the comments and happy Easter!

Brentford vs. Brighton
Not the easiest prediction to begin with but I'm just not sure about Brighton's defence - I correctly predicted Leicester would score against them last week but didn't expect 2-2 which was a really poor result. Brentford have had a couple of good draws in recent weeks and might edge this at home in my opinion. Prediction: Brentford 2-1 BrightonCrystal Palace vs. Bournemouth
It feels like Bournemouth could kick on from that win over Fulham on Monday night and finish the season strongly as they search for European football, whereas Palace have fallen out of form with quite a bump. So I think I'm going with an away win here - home advantage doesn't really apply to Palace this season based on their results. Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-2 BournemouthEverton vs. Manchester City
I'm really not sure on this one. I picked City last week and after 20 minutes of that game was thinking 'why didn't I just pick Palace as it was so obvious they'd cause City issues'. Of course, City came through in style to win 5-2 in the end, but it feels like it's 50/50 again here as to whether they play at their best or just pass the ball around and fail to trouble an Everton defence which will be well organised. Guardiola usually finds a way at Goodison Park so I'll go with a narrow away win. Prediction: Everton 1-2 Manchester CityWest Ham vs. Southampton
You can't really pick Southampton, so that means you have to hesitantly pick West Ham this week. Graham Potter's team are hardly flying in attack but everyone has scored against Saints in 2025. Prediction: West Ham 2-0 SouthamptonAston Villa vs. Newcastle
This should be a belter. It's a really important game for both teams. I've mentioned previously that it's really important for Villa to keep their place in the Champions League now that they've had a taste for it, because PSR wise they've built a squad that is now reliant on that financial income. Newcastle are obviously in a similar boat as they look to be able to fully utilise the insane amount of wealth that they now have, so as far as pressure games go in modern football this is right up there. It's genuinely a really difficult pick - Newcastle are flying but Villa so rarely lose at home. I think I'm going to have to sit on the fence. Prediction: Aston Villa 1-1 NewcastleFulham vs. Chelsea
This is also a huge match as Chelsea look to recover a place in the top 5 and local rivals Fulham look to complete an historic league double over the Blues after winning at Stamford Bridge for the first time in decades in December (as well as pushing for European football themselves!). The trouble is Fulham are inconsistent and Chelsea just haven't been very good since before Christmas - Thursday's home defeat to Legia Warsaw despite naming a confusingly strong starting XI is a new low for their season. Given their away form, I think the best the Blues will manage is another draw, which would end Fulham's satisfying (unless you're a Fulham fan) form streak of WLWLWLWL. Prediction: Fulham 1-1 ChelseaIpswich vs. Arsenal
It's fair to say Arsenal will have some momentum going into this one, and while there might be a slight adjustment period to playing at Portman Road after winning at the Bernabeu, you'd think they'll manage. Ipswich have been pretty ordinary all season other than when playing Chelsea. Prediction: Ipswich 0-2 ArsenalManchester United vs. Wolves
Thursday's win over Lyon was an absolutely crazy game in the Europa League for United, and though such drama boosts morale and they ultimately got the job done to progress to the semi-finals, we also saw plenty of the issues with Ruben Amorim's side over those 120 minutes. Wolves are in a really good place at the moment and will cause the hosts problems in my opinion. I'm going to gamble on a high scoring draw. Prediction: Manchester United 2-2 WolvesLeicester City vs. Liverpool
You won't be surprised to read that I think Liverpool will win this one. It's possible that this will even be a match to seal the tile if Ipswich win earlier in the day, but either way you'd think the Reds will comfortably push Leicester aside. With Virgil van Dijk now joining Mohamed Salah in renewing his contract, there's plenty to celebrate for Liverpool fans regardless of whether or not this game is to seal the trophy or simply just another week closer to that 20th league title. Prediction: Leicester 0-3 LiverpoolTottenham vs. Nottingham Forest
Like Manchester United, Tottenham's season is all about the Europa League so Thursday's win in Frankfurt was huge for them. In the Premier League, things have been going terribly for Ange Postecoglou's team, and this suddenly feels like a must-win for Nottingham Forest after that defeat to Everton last week so I'm going with an away win. On paper, this is a good match-up for Forest who can be devastating on the counter and will be given plenty of space to show that. Prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Nottingham ForestGood luck with your own predictions!
