Premier League: Round 20 Predictions
Successfully backing Brighton to beat Tottenham meant I finished with a slightly above average 5/10 in Round 19 so I'm reasonably pleased with that. I probably should have picked Wolves, but I didn't really expect Man Utd to win - particularly when they were 0-2 down and my Villa pick was looking good!
We're now on the round that bridges 2023 and 2024 so Happy New Year all! I wish you all a fantastic 2024 with plenty of success both on and off Superbru.

Luton vs. Chelsea
Chelsea weren't exactly convincing against Crystal Palace, and their recent away form has been terrible. As a result, I don't think Luton have anything to fear here and far more experienced teams than Chelsea have really struggled at Kenilworth Road this season. I think Luton will manage a goal, and I'm not sure Chelsea will be able to top that on current form. Luton 1-1 ChelseaAston Villa vs. Burnley
Considering their last two results, Villa will be quite pleased to still only be a point behind Arsenal and this is a great opportunity to return to winning ways. Surely they won't make the same mistake that they did at home to Sheffield United? Aston Villa 3-1 BurnleyCrystal Palace vs. Brentford
Brentford were really, really bad last time out against Wolves and so despite Crystal Palace also not being in the best of form, I think you have to go with the Eagles. I'm really interested to see what Brentford do in the January market because they still have lots of players out and their current form can't continue. Crystal Palace 2-1 BrentfordManchester City vs. Sheffield United
I don't think any of us are spending too long on this one as anything other than a comfortable home win would be pretty astonishing. Manchester City 4-0 Sheffield UnitedWolves vs. Everton
This looks like a draw, doesn't it? Both teams are playing well at the moment and while Wolves have home advantage, Everton are probably the team that makes themselves more difficult to beat in my opinion. It's very tough to pick a winner. Wolves 1-1 EvertonNottingham Forest vs. Manchester United
Tricky one. Nottingham Forest were excellent at Newcastle for that first win under Nuno and they can probably cause Manchester United similar problems on the break considering how often the Red Devils' backline seems to be left exposed. I think there'll be goals in this but perhaps United will just edge it now that Rasmus Hojlund has broken his Premier League duck. Nottingham Forest 2-3 Manchester UnitedFulham vs. Arsenal
Arsenal need a response after that West Ham defeat and I think they'll manage one here. Fulham have lost their way a bit after those surprise 5-0 wins. Fulham 0-2 ArsenalTottenham vs. Bournemouth
This is a really interesting fixture and I actually think Bournemouth's run can continue. Just like they were at Brighton where they lost 4-2, Tottenham will be without both Romero and van de Ven again which means the backline of fullbacks could well continue which spells trouble in my opinion against Dominic Solanke. Bournemouth are just playing with so much confidence at the moment so I'm braving what will be considered an upset on Superbru I think. Tottenham 1-2 BournemouthLiverpool vs. Newcastle
You'd have to be very brave to pick Newcastle to win at Anfield on current form, as Eddie Howe's side have really fallen away of late. It was never going to be easy to match last season's overachievement, but now that they've set that bar, they need reinforcements in January. For now, I can only see a home win. Liverpool 3-1 NewcastleWest Ham vs. Brighton
Finally, I'm going with West Ham here as they've been good at home and Brighton less so when on the road. David Moyes is unlikely to ever win over the whole of the Hammers' crowd due to his style of play, but what an unbelievable job he is doing in terms of results. West Ham 2-1 BrightonGood luck with your own Round 20 predictions and feel free to leave your own predictions in the comments!
Can you tell me when the India tour of South Africa 1st test score results will be put on the system. Many thanks.
