Predictions: Jack's Round 7 Premier League Picks
Round 7 of the Premier League is the final round in this current 'batch' as we then enter the October international break next week.
If this round goes anything like last week's, I'll probably be quite grateful for the international break to be honest which isn't something I say very often.
Here are my thoughts on Round 7.

I'm going with a home win on the basis that United will keep consistently inconsistent and the WLWL pattern continues but I feel quite silly doing so and a bit disrespectful to Sunderland who have been excellent so far this season. Prediction: Man Utd 2-1 Sunderland
At full strength, I think this would be a perfect time for Chelsea to play Liverpool and would probably back them to win, but the Blues are so short defensively and I just can't see their goalkeeper and makeshift centre back pairing keeping the likes of Alexander Isak out. There are plenty of interesting storylines to look out for in this one but Liverpool are much more likely to win the game than Chelsea are in my opinion. Prediction: Chelsea 1-3 Liverpool
Best of luck with your own Round 7 predictions!

Last round
Like many, I only managed the Man City and Arsenal wins! I'm slightly annoyed I didn't pick Brentford and Villa, but the rest were quite surprising, and I only considered a Palace draw rather than the win that they managed so I was grateful it finished 2-1 rather than 1-1!Here are my thoughts on Round 7.

Bournemouth vs. Fulham
I'm going with Bournemouth for this opener since they're at home. It's been a pretty solid start for the Cherries. I'd have backed Fulham for at least a point if this was at Craven Cottage but I think they're going to struggle on the road, particularly if both strikers are still out. Prediction: Bournemouth 2-1 FulhamLeeds vs. Tottenham
This will be close based on Leeds' recent performances, but while Tottenham's recent results have been underwhelming, you look at each of the likely lineups in this game and feel Spurs really ought to win. If they can stop falling behind in games, they'll give themselves much more of a chance, but the fact they've been avoiding defeats despite falling behind regularly is probably still a reasonably positive sign for Thomas Frank. Prediction: Leeds 0-2 TottenhamArsenal vs. West Ham
Like most people, I've been stung by this fixture in each of the last two seasons, but I'm still not risking a West Ham pick this season either. Nuno should ensure the Hammers are more competitive in this derby than they were against Chelsea and Tottenham, but Arsenal are clearly the superior side. Prediction: Arsenal 3-1 West HamManchester United vs. Sunderland
Oh good, another Manchester United match to predict. I thought they were awful at Brentford, yet if Bruno Fernandes had scored that penalty things could have been very different (I felt for him slightly as it was a ridiculous and unnecessary delay ahead of it being taken) and this match will likely be similar in that Sunderland will probably be the better team in midfield but the likes of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha will create moments.I'm going with a home win on the basis that United will keep consistently inconsistent and the WLWL pattern continues but I feel quite silly doing so and a bit disrespectful to Sunderland who have been excellent so far this season. Prediction: Man Utd 2-1 Sunderland
Chelsea vs. Liverpool
After a tough week, Liverpool need a response here to keep themselves top of the table for the international break, and I'm interested to see the attacking setup Arne Slot goes with as it should give us an idea of who he really trusts.
Aston Villa vs. Burnley
Aston Villa are finally getting some wins on the board - Thursday's victory in Rotterdam was particularly impressive - so I think they'll be OK here and go into the break looking in a much more reasonable position on the table. Backing Burnley away from Turf Moor is difficult. Prediction: Aston Villa 2-0 BurnleyEverton vs. Crystal Palace
It's hard to fault Crystal Palace at all at the moment with such impressive results built upon a fantastic defence. Now that expectations are suddenly so high and everyone is talking about them following last week's win over Liverpool, this could be tricky, particularly having played away in Poland on Thursday. I'm still not sure I want to back Everton, mind, so I'm staying on the fence for this one. Prediction: Everton 1-1 Crystal PalaceNewcastle vs. Nottingham Forest
I'm sure Ange Postecoglou will have known that there'd be difficult moments when replacing a manager who had done as well as Nuno had done with Nottingham Forest, but he surely can't have envisaged things being as bad as no win in six games and fans chanting for him to be sacked a month in. Newcastle were great in midweek and are approaching a more favourable run of fixtures where I think they'll string some home wins together. Prediction: Newcastle 3-1 Nottingham ForestWolves vs. Brighton
Wolves almost nicking a win at Tottenham suggests they might have made a bit of progress in the last couple of weeks, but it's surely still Brighton that are the more likely winners here? I'm not fully convinced by the Seagulls defensively yet, but they have some real quality in attack and I think they'll cause Wolves problems. Prediction: Wolves 1-2 BrightonBrentford vs. Manchester City
Finally, I think Brentford will make City work for this, but I think we'll see the Bees' first home defeat of the campaign. Erling Haaland looks absolutely unstoppable at the moment, and City should show greater control on the ball to see things out if and when they're ahead than we saw Chelsea and Manchester United play with at the Gtech in recent weeks. Prediction: Brentford 0-2 Manchester CityBest of luck with your own Round 7 predictions!
