Predictions: Jack's Round 29 Premier League Picks

We're into the final 10 rounds of the Premier League season and it should be quite a run-in.

Round 29 is a midweek round beginning this evening so make sure you spread the word so that everyone in your league remembers to make picks! 3 fixtures kick-off at 19:30 UK tonight.

Last round

6/10 and 10 points isn't necessarily terrible usually, but the unusual Sunday featuring four consecutive 2-1 scorelines means the average points tally on Superbru was quite high! This hasn't been my season so far so I need a strong run-in...

Road the World Cup update

Superbru 48 spots continue to be filled in our Road to the World Cup campaign.

πŸ‡πŸ‡·πŸ”‘ The Croatia key was won by Mauro in Round 28 with 22 points. He got back to me nice and quickly after winning the key so you can already read about that here.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡ΎπŸ”‘ The Paraguay key will be given to the top performer in this round. On current form, I won't be in contention (not that I'm eligible anyway).

Here are my thoughts on Round 29!

Bournemouth vs. Brentford

Not an easy one to start. Brentford hammered Bournemouth in the reverse fixture and I think this might just be a good match-up for them generally which is what that 4-1 scoreline would certainly suggest. I'm going to risk the away win. Prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Brentford

Everton vs. Burnley

Surely this is where Everton finally return to winning ways at home! Burnley's recent run of scoring quite a few goals goes against my pick for this one, but this just reads like a fixture that is never going to have many goals. I'm going for a nervy and narrow triumph for the Toffees. Prediction: Everton 1-0 Burnley

Leeds vs. Sunderland

Sunderland proved me wrong in the last round and may well do so again but I think Leeds will sneak this. A big opportunity for the hosts under the lights to pick up 3 points which would go a long way towards securing their place in the top flight. Prediction: Leeds 2-1 Sunderland

Wolves vs. Liverpool

Liverpool have been keeping a fair number of clean sheets on the road and I'm wondering if this match ends relatively routine for them. This is one of those strange scenarios where the clubs are meeting in back-to-back games across different competitions. After a massive win over rivals Villa last time out, Wolves may take their foot off the accelerator here and prioritise the FA Cup meet between these two a few days later? Prediction: Wolves 0-2 Liverpool

Aston Villa vs. Chelsea

This is a hugely significant fixture in the fight for Champions League football next season and feels like a must-win for Chelsea. The Blues have dropped silly points in recent home games so they're going to have to make up for it with some big wins in a difficult run-in, but I actually fancy their chances more in a game like this. Villa are starting to make a real mess of what looked like a very promising league campaign and their midfield injuries could again prove costly against this Chelsea team. Prediction: Aston Villa 1-2 Chelsea

Brighton vs. Arsenal

Brighton have finally strung consecutive wins together and if they somehow win this match, it really will be time to sit up and take notice of the Seagulls again, but I'm going with an away win like most people. If the Gunners are to drop more points, I think it's likely to be in games sandwiched between European fixtures rather than this one which is followed by a favourable Cup tie against Mansfield. Prediction: Brighton 0-2 Arsenal

Fulham vs. West Ham

Tottenham have just been to Craven Cottage and lost, so can relegation rivals West Ham do any better? I actually expect them to be more competitive than Spurs on current form but it's tricky to go against Fulham now that they look to be back in the kind of form we saw from them over Christmas. Prediction: Fulham 2-1 West Ham

Manchester City vs. Nottingham Forest

My rationale for my Arsenal pick also applies here even though City's FA Cup tie looks a bit more challenging at the weekend. The league will of course be prioritised, though. Prediction: Manchester City 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Newcastle vs. Manchester United

Newcastle's league campaign really is looking poor now and at a time where they're struggling for home wins, a 3-game stretch of matches against Man Utd, Man City and Barcelona at St James' Park looks as if it could make or break the remainder of their campaign. Based on what we've seen so far in 2025-26, I back them more in the Cup competitions. Prediction: Newcastle 1-3 Manchester United

Tottenham vs. Crystal Palace

This is a big ol' game for Spurs. After this match, they have an away game at Anfield in the middle of a Champions League tie against Atleti that they could really do without. However, there's still little to suggest they can win this game? They've looked awful for months and the fact that relegation is becoming a real possibility means there's so much pressure on the players and all other Premier League teams will be trying so hard to beat them. I think they may only manage a point. Prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Crystal Palace

Best of luck with your own predictions!
