Predictions: Jack's Round 14 Premier League Picks
It feels as if the Premier League table is closer than ever this season, with just 8 points separating 2nd and 15th.
Sadly, my Superbru predictions have been a bit less competitive so far this season, but I'm more of a West Ham than a Wolves in terms of leaderboard positions so hopefully I can still turn things around.
Here are my thoughts on Round 14 where things will hopefully go a little better.

Last round
4/10 and 5.5 points. Disappointing. Bournemouth could have had at least held out for a point to help me out, but otherwise I just got most of the 50/50s wrong. I almost changed my pick for Chelsea vs. Arsenal once the team news came out, though I was considering changing from an Arsenal win to a Chelsea win rather than the draw so I'd still have been wrong. Here are my thoughts on Round 14 where things will hopefully go a little better.

Bournemouth vs. Everton
I'm hoping this is third time lucky with Bournemouth because they've let me down in each of the last two rounds. The Cherries are still unbeaten at home so you'd like to think they'll have enough here given Everton's display on Saturday, but I'm not particularly confident. Prediction: Bournemouth 2-1 EvertonFulham vs. Manchester City
The head-to-head record between these two is mad. 18 wins on the bounce for City! Based on their recent displays, Fulham finally getting a result certainly isn't out of the question, but I don't think I'm confident enough to go against the visitors. Erling Haaland is due a hat-trick after three goalless games. Prediction: Fulham 1-3 Manchester CityNewcastle vs. Tottenham
There's a tiny part of me thinking this is a classic game where the Premier League throws up an upset because everything points towards a Newcastle win after the weekend results, but it feels more likely that Tottenham's slide continues. I have a little bit of sympathy for Thomas Frank but his team just can't seem to break lines with forward passing and they're going to struggle to cope with Newcastle's forwards in this one. Prediction: Newcastle 2-0 TottenhamArsenal vs. Brentford
Arsenal are rock solid at home. Brentford aren't great away. The Bees should keep things reasonably competitive but I can only see a home win. Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 BrentfordBrighton vs. Aston Villa
Toughest pick of the round, for me. I quite like Brighton but you never feel as if you can trust them, whereas Aston Villa tend to grind out results even when playing beneath themselves. I'm going for a draw. Prediction: Brighton 1-1 Aston VillaBurnley vs. Crystal Palace
I'm going to gamble on this one and say Burnley manage a point. Ismaila Sarr is a big miss for Crystal Palace and their squad just looks light for the number of games that they are playing this season. If Glasner doesn't rotate and his first XI have the energy, the Eagles should obviously win, but this feels like an opportunity for the hosts to me. Prediction: Burnley 1-1 Crystal PalaceWolves vs. Nottingham Forest
This is likely to be an away win. Nottingham Forest carry far more attacking threat than Wolves who haven't scored since October, and while that could change here, I think Forest will have too much. Prediction: Wolves 1-2 Nottingham ForestLeeds vs. Chelsea
Leeds away is a test for Chelsea. We've started to see 'old Chelsea' performances from the Blues in big games at Stamford Bridge, and I thought they were excellent against Arsenal, but Moises Caicedo's absence may be felt more in these next three matches than it was in the second half of that pumped up derby. Chelsea should still get the job done based on Leeds' form, but I think this will be close. Prediction: Leeds 1-2 ChelseaLiverpool vs. Sunderland
I did at least manage to correctly call a Liverpool win and a goal for Alexander Isak at the weekend, but it's still very tough to know if they can follow up here. I'm tempted to back Sunderland for a result, but their last away performance at Fulham was really disappointing. You'd think Arne Slot will keep rotation to a minimum and look to build on Sunday. Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 SunderlandManchester United vs. West Ham
Manchester United are back to ruining everyone's Superbru picks with a home defeat to Everton before a win away at Palace. I think they'll probably now beat West Ham, but you certainly wouldn't bank on it, and I think there'll probably be goals at both ends. It's tricky to provide too much logic or analysis to United games because on paper they have the quality to easily win this match but you wouldn't be at all surprised if they don't.
