Premier League Predictor: Round 10 Predictions
Round 9 was an average one for me with 5/10 but it was very close to being a lot better with a Fulham Exact if Everton hadn't scored that late equaliser! Admittedly, I got quite fortunate with the Wolves draw as I'm still not sure how Brighton managed to waste a 4 v 1 and concede in the space of about 10 seconds while 2-1 up late on.
The big news this week has of course been the departure of Erik ten Hag from Manchester United, with Ruud van Nistelrooy in interim charge of the team for this weekend's clash with Chelsea. It did seem like it was only a matter of time, but I don't expect United to get any easier to predict for a few weeks yet. Their game this weekend is one of several that are incredibly difficult to call with even the bookies on the fence for numerous matches this round.
Still, let's have a go at predicting them all... Here are my Round 10 picks. Let me know your own in the comments!

Newcastle vs. Arsenal
I don't often go against Newcastle at home, but I feel Arsenal will win this (so long as they keep 11 men on the pitch). Even with injuries I think the Gunners will be solid enough defensively and this needs to be 3 points for Mikel Arteta's side after a couple of games without a win. Of course, the same can be said for Newcastle who are on a poor run, but things haven't looked quite right all season in my opinion. Credit to Eddie Howe who therefore changed things up a bit tactically for the League Cup win over Chelsea which is promising for the Magpies, but this is obviously a tough game. Prediction: Newcastle 0-2 ArsenalBournemouth vs. Manchester City
Bournemouth have been giving everyone a game at home and an upset isn't out of the question here, but even with so many injuries it's tough to predict against Manchester City. City don't have the biggest squad in the world so this looks set to be a tough week for them with 3 straight away games before the international break but I think they'll get the job done in this first one. Prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Manchester CityIpswich vs. Leicester
You can't really have any confidence in them since they're yet to win, but I'm going with an Ipswich victory here I think. Last week's crazy game at Brentford did have positives (in that they got themselves in front and showed they can score goals) as well as the obvious negatives, but this feels like a match to really target and if they can tighten things up even slightly and Arijanet Muric can cut out his howlers then there's no reason why they can't win this game. Leicester have looked like the stronger side and will score at least once I think but perhaps Ipswich can get a result in front of their own fans? Prediction: Ipswich 2-1 LeicesterLiverpool vs. Brighton
These clubs literally just played each other in midweek but I'm not going to pay too much attention to that Cup tie since we'll be seeing quite different XIs here. Brighton have really tested Liverpool in pretty much every meeting they've had in recent years but I think you have to go with a home win. I've been quite impressed with how assured Liverpool have looked so early in Arne Slot's reign and while that's obviously helped by this squad having played together for quite a long time now, I think his fairly calm persona (at least in the media) has helped and his team have the tools to trouble Brighton's high defensive line. Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 BrightonNottingham Forest vs. West Ham
A Nottingham Forest win makes sense here, given how each team is playing at the moment. West Ham have the players to suddenly turn a corner at some point, but it's difficult to pick them until they show some signs of that - they didn't last week in my opinion despite the favourable result as Man Utd should have been out of sight by half time. Prediction: Nottingham Forest 1-0 West HamSouthampton vs. Everton
This is another winnable home game on paper for Southampton, but considering they are still yet to win this season despite already playing Ipswich and Leicester at home, it's hard to have much faith in them? As much as Saints are due a win, Everton are unbeaten in 5 and will obviously see this game as a great opportunity to move further clear of the bottom three. I'm going to go with a draw since Dwight McNeil is a doubt but if he ends up fit to start then I might switch to an Everton win as he's important to their attack. Prediction: Southampton 1-1 EvertonWolves vs. Crystal Palace
This is the one for Wolves because their poor record so far this season has largely been excused by many (including myself) as being a result of their tough fixture list - each of their home games up to now has been very difficult. However, they need to find a first victory here despite Crystal Palace being on the up after finding a first win of the season themselves only last week. It's a tough one because I quite like Palace's squad and think they'll continue to improve from here but Wolves really need this and I think they might just edge it. Prediction: Wolves 2-1 Crystal PalaceTottenham vs. Aston Villa
This is a big game in North London and one that Tottenham will feel they need to win despite it being early in the season as they're already 5 points behind Villa and the top four. A midweek League Cup win over Manchester City certainly won't harm confidence, but results in that competition rarely translate to the Premier League and Spurs lack consistency anyway which is why I'm leaning towards Villa. It's a bit of a risk away from home but Villa won this fixture last season and I just think they're a stronger side than Spurs overall. Van de Ven is a big miss for Spurs if he's out injured as expected, too. Prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Aston VillaManchester United vs. Chelsea
This could easily go either way as Chelsea have been the better side this season but Manchester United now have potential for an interim manager bounce with Ruud van Nistelrooy as we saw in the League Cup in midweek ahead of an Amorim bounce after the international break. I think there'll be goals, because Chelsea are a lot better at attacking than they are at defending, but I think we might see a draw? It's been a very long time since Chelsea have won at Old Trafford in the Premier League. Prediction: Manchester United 2-2 ChelseaFulham vs. Brentford
A derby to finish with and as usual with Fulham v Brentford, it's quite hard to call. Brentford's away form is dreadful but they've only had very tough fixtures on the road whereas at home they've been performing well and scoring lots of goals against weaker sides. After last season's humiliation in this fixture, I think Fulham will be very keen for revenge, but a clean sheet seems unlikely? I'm going with a draw. Prediction: Fulham 1-1 BrentfordBest of luck to you all in Round 10. How do your predictions differ?
