Norway squad named for 2026 World Cup

This summer is set to be a very special one for Norway as they return to a World Cup finals for the first time since 1998.

Stale Solbakken has today named his squad for the tournament. Manchester City's Erling Haaland is of course the star name, but he's one of several very strong attackers in the Norweigan squad.

As you can see, Norway's entire list of forwards is made up of very valuable players who are starring in Europe's top 5 leagues. Behind them, Arsenal's Martin Ødegaard is the key playmaker, while Jens Petter Hauge was sensation for Bodø/Glimt in their magnificent Champions League campaign this season.

How will they get on?

Norway are in Group I which is the group everyone is talking about ahead of this World Cup. They'll face Iraq first in a match they ought to win to take the pressure off themselves, before fascinating matchups against Senegal and France.
