New Zealand begin 'Rugby's Greatest Rivalry' tour this Friday
The eagerly anticipated 'Rugby's Greatest Rivalry' tour begins this week, with the All Blacks already in South Africa and preparing for a clash with the Stormers in Cape Town this Friday.
That fixture kicks-off an 8-match tour which is made up of games against each of South Africa's URC franchises and a 4-match Test series against the Springboks. Here is the full itinerary.

In a similar format to our Lions Tour Predictor games, predictions for each Test match between South Africa and New Zealand will be worth double the points of other fixtures, with the Win Point value raised to 2pts per Test.
While New Zealand will be facing the Stormers, Sharks and Bulls in preparation for the opening Test against the Boks at Ellis Park on August 22nd, the Springboks are in Argentina this week for a one-off away Test against the Pumas.
Note: Since that Argentina vs. South Africa Test is an isolated game with no series/tournament attached to it, the fixture does not feature on Superbru.

I am a football man as some of you will know. Done well over the years in the predictor. I really don't know the first thing about rugby. However, I have been doing some googling about rugby rules, tests and stuff, and this looks interesting. Originally I didn't really wanna mess up my (99.9 percent) only football career, other than a few accidental mishaps by adding myself to tennis and golf tournaments,. However, I think I'd like to give this a go.
If I am right, a couple of these games are at altitude in Joburg. I asked AI and it said South Africa has come through a turbulent era to become the best team in the world again, whereas NZ are in transition. Maybe NZ are like the former best team in the world now relatively struggling - their football analogues would be Brazil or Germany.

To reiterate, I know very little about rugby. I wouldn't play small local tournaments, or cricket or anything. But I think I'd like to give this anhd the World Cup a go as exceptions to the football tournaments. It's only 8 games so a small sample size where I can potentially fluke a high placing through pure luck lol.
Overall, I am not sure if I would watch these games, as they clash with the football season. But at least keeping up to date with the scores of the 'warm up matches' against the local sides, then the four actual tests against the Springboks, sounds fun,

I believe this, the World Cup, the Six Nations and the Lions tour are seen as the pinnacle of international rugby union, is that right? If so, I would play all those maybe. But overall, I still want my profile to lean very heavily towards football. 5 Aug 13:28
4 WP for the non tests, 8 WP total for the four tests, 4 margin points total, and 8 bonus points?
Trying to work this out.
WP (Win Points) are worth 1pt for each match vs. a URC franchise as you say, and 2pts for each Test.
MP (Margin Points) are worth 0.5pts and you receive an MP for being within 5 of the correct margin.
BP (Bonus Points) are league-specific. You receive the Bonus Point if you're the closest to the correct margin in the league that you're playing in (but you have to be within 15 of the margin to qualify) 5 Aug 13:47
I tallied it up correctly. Still it's nigh on impossible really to get 24 points, because what's the chance of being the closest margin for 8 games in the same mini league lol? Unless it's a pool of 2 or 3 or something.
Obviously this is my first rugby game so famliarising myself with the scoring system.
