Jack's Round 6 Premier League Predictions
The Premier League is finally back this week. The extended international break was, as expected, not ideal for us fans but there have been some good storylines across the international game. None of them have come close to replacing the Premier League on the front and back pages, mind you...
I usually finish these articles with a 'storylines to watch' section as I'm a big fan of narrative as you all know. That won't be the case this week, because there's one very big storyline to watch which dominates all others.
I had Brentford to beat Chelsea and Villa to win at Spurs but I absolutely did not see Brighton's 3-0 win over Arsenal coming!
Sure, Brighton have been excellent in these opening weeks, but 3-0 against that Gunners team is a remarkable result. 11 Superbru players somehow still managed an Exact.

Just in case you've decided to hibernate throughout the entire international break, I should mention that said atmosphere is because Manchester City have been found guilty of 114 of the 115 charges brought against them for breaching the Premier League's financial regulations.
I think the majority of us were always of the opinion that something wasn't quite right with City's finances considering they claimed to have more commercial income than Real Madrid in some years, but the sheer scale of the numbers that the Premier League have revealed has rightly triggered a huge amount of anger across the sport.
I won't waste time speculating on the likely punishment and how long we still have to go in this very drawn out saga (there's plenty of content on that elsewhere!), but such a seismic ruling will undoubtedly have some impact on City's matches for the foreseeable future.
On the one hand, I can see potential for City now thriving under the ultimate 'us against the world' mentality that managers regularly look to instill anyway and the likes of Enzo Fernandez will absolutely love, but this really is next level in that regard and we've seen a couple of shaky performances from City players in the internationals. As you can see below, I wonder if this trip to Anfield under almost unprecedented media scrutiny proves too much.

Elsewhere, it goes without saying in the Premier League Predictor that there are some tough picks.
I've gone with Chelsea because Bournemouth are winless and will now be without Alex Scott too, but there really is pressure for Xabi Alonso to get a result there because the 3-0 defeat at Brentford was awful. Chelsea's matches have been great fun to watch under Alonso but that loss will have really brought the form streak into perspective for Blues fans.
Fulham to win at Ipswich is one I'm very unsure about because I don't trust Fulham at all. Alvaro Arbeloa has improved things considerably since the Palace defeat though so you'd think that work may have continued during the break.
For the other tough calls I've got Aston Villa to just about win at home, Oliver Glasner and Forest to win back at Selhurst Park because I don't rate Palace at the moment (that game probably is worthy of a narrative mention to be fair) and Hull to draw with Everton.
Feel free to leave your own predictions and thoughts in the comments.
Best of luck to you all in Round 6!

Last round
💪 | A reasonable effort considering the result. 6/10 and 10 points.I had Brentford to beat Chelsea and Villa to win at Spurs but I absolutely did not see Brighton's 3-0 win over Arsenal coming!

Round 6
Right then, let's get to it. Liverpool vs. Manchester City this weekend is absolutely mandatory viewing. It was obviously going to be quite a good watch anyway, but the atmosphere is now going to be hot and I can't wait for it.Just in case you've decided to hibernate throughout the entire international break, I should mention that said atmosphere is because Manchester City have been found guilty of 114 of the 115 charges brought against them for breaching the Premier League's financial regulations.

They need to put their right foot in right foot out do the hokey pokey and shake it all about that's what it's all about
Yes City will appeal by means of 'Interpretive dance'. The Premier League Legal Prosecution Team were spotted in training practising another popular 30s/40s dance routine, 'The Lambeth Walk' though.
But these lyrics will please City
"Ev'rything's free and easy, Do as you darn well pleasey,...".
STOP PRESS: Further research shows that they use Hokey Pokey in the USA for COPYRIGHT reasons! Yet more dodgy lawyering?!! 9 Oct 15:12
P.S. Original lyrics were Hokey cokey. Written 1942 by a welcoming English songwriter to cheer up arriving American troops (it says online)
What Man City have done isn't right, but the idea that greedy cu nt ish clubs like Man United, Liverpool and Arsenal care about the rest of English football is fu ck ing laughable. They just know City are a problem they cannot solve and want them out of the way.
And United in particular have a cheek - they're loaded with debt and nobody forced them to inflate the transfer market for garbage like Pogba, Maguire, Wan Bissaka, Sancho, geriatric Ronaldo, Onana, Antony and the list goes on.
