France squad named for 2026 World Cup

Official 26-man squads for this summer's World Cup have begun to emerge in recent days and we now have the list for the 2022 runners-up, France.

There are plenty of familiar names in the French squad, including a group of attackers that is arguably the best of any nation at the tournament.

Here's the 26-man list in full:



Crystal Palace fans will be pleased to see both Maxence Lacroix and Jean-Philippe Mateta included, while in midfield, Manu Kone and Adrien Rabiot have been preferred to Eduardo Camavinga.

The attacking quality speaks for itself. In addition to Kylian Mbappe who was so instrumental in their 2018 triumph, France have Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembele and several other players who have had stunning domestic seasons for their respective clubs in Michael Olise, Rayan Cherki, Desire Doue and Marcus Thuram.
