F1 Preview: Italian Grand Prix

Belgium GP recap

In a tragic weekend for motorsport it was perhaps fitting that Leclerc, a close friend of Hubert, claimed his maiden win in the sport in style. A scintillating pole lap on the Saturday following by a composed and controlled drive on the Sunday saw the Monegasque driver claim top honours for the first time in his fledgling career.

Hamilton pushed him all the way but had to settle for second place, less than 1 second behind at the chequered flag! Bottas came home in a lonely third as both Mercedes finished on the podium. Elsewhere Albon had a strong showing on his Red Bull debut, finishing in 5th after starting 17th. RacingPoint also had a solid weekend as both their drivers finished in the points for only the second time in 2019.

Belgian GP Top 10: 1. Leclerc, 2. Hamilton, 3. Bottas, 4. Vettel, 5. Albon, 6. Perez, 7. Kvyat, 8. Hulkenberg, 9. Gasly, 10. Stroll

Italy

Last season Hamilton broke the hearts of the Tifosi as he finished ahead of Raikkonen - then of Ferrari. The other Finn of Bottas rounded off the podium places.

Can Ferrari get revenge this season at their home race? Will we see a battle between their 2 drivers for victory? It is poised for a frenetic race you don't want to miss!

Top 10 prediction - 1. Vettel, 2. Leclerc, 3. Hamilton, 4. Bottas, 5. Albon, 6. Verstappen, 7. Raikkonen, 8. Ricciardo, 9. Sainz, 10. Perez
