Euro 2024: Final Prediction
After a month of action in Germany, it all comes down to this. The Euro 2024 final is set to be a tense affair and a very decisive match for a lot of Superbru leaderboards!
Personally, I'm in a decent position in a few of my leagues after 2/2 in the semi-finals, so I'm very torn as to what to predict!

So should I back England because I desperately want them to win? Or shall I predict what I think will actually happen? The problem with that is that I feel there is a reasonable chance of a penalty shootout again, but picking a draw feels very risky when hoping to protect a Superbru lead.
Thinking as objectively as I can, I think Spain's right flank wins them this game. England have failed to provide a threat down the left all tournament, so if that continues, Dani Carvajal will be able to join Lamine Yamal in attack quite frequently and England will have a problem because Yamal alone is obviously incredibly dangerous. In response, England need people to run in behind if they're to trouble the Spanish centre backs who can be got at, but we haven't seen that at all from Harry Kane and co. so it may only be after subsitutions when someone like Ollie Watkins is introduced again that we see that kind of threat from the Three Lions.
So on that basis, I'm expecting to be wrong but I feel like I have to pick England. Southgate's teams are always fairly difficult to score against and even though it will probably be left late again, they do have the substitutes to win this game (and the penalty takers to win a shootout if required). If I pick Spain and England win, I'd never be able to forgive myself. Let me know what your prediction will be, especially if you're a fellow England fan! Spain 1-2 England

Spain vs. England
As touched upon in the intro, I have quite a dilemma with this final and I'm battling with a lot of factors! Backing England with my heart has gone reasonably well up to now, but I'm close to winning a few Superbru leagues and in my opinion, Spain have been the best team in this tournament by a distance. So should I back England because I desperately want them to win? Southgate appears to be dyslexic. In my opinion he cannot distingish between right and left, and right and wrong. At times he has three right-side players playing on the left, and that's not right. I don't know from where he got the idea that selecting the two best exciting and successful current PL strikers, Palmer and Watkins, in the England touring squad will be sufficient to frighten our opponents. He must learn to select them to have the decent length of playing time they deserve. Their success in their brief appearances leads one to wonder what sort of goal lines we would have scored had they been properly recognised and utilised. Saka has been my pick for England.
So i think an England win 2-1 is possible..
