EPCR Challenge Cup and Investec Champions Cup Final Predictions!

The Principality Stadium in Cardiff is set for quite a weekend of rugby with the EPCR Challenge Cup final taking place this evening ahead of tomorrow's main event - the Investec Champions Cup final.

Both matches should make for great entertainment and they are of course also all-important on Superbru with 3 Win Points at stake in the final of each Predictor game.

2025 EPCR Challenge Cup Final: Bath v Lyon

Lyon sit 11th in the Top 14, and winning this match is likely their only chance of qualifying for the Champions Cup next season. Meanwhile, Bath are leading the Gallagher Premiership, and have a big finish to the season ahead where they’ll be expected to make the league final too. Those motivations may have an impact on the result, but picking the French side would be a big gamble, and I’d rather play it safe and pick Bath on better form and with a superior squad. Prediction: Bath by 8

2025 Investec Champions Cup Final: Northampton Saints v Union Bordeaux-Begles

The Saints caused a huge upset in Dublin in the semi-finals, and instinct says that if they can beat Leinster away from home, they can beat anyone on neutral ground. But the logical argument is that Bordeaux have been the best team in the competition all season, they are 2nd in the Top 14 compared to Northampton’s 8th in the Premiership, and the French side ought to start as favourites. It’s a final and anything can happen, but I’m going with logic for now. Prediction: Bordeaux by 4
