2026 Six Nations: Hutch's Round 3 Predictions
My two out of three last week was in line with most people on Superbru, and collecting a Margin Point in the France game has left me near the top of most of my leaderboards.
Here are my Six Nations predictions for Round 3.
Ireland have also made a big decision by changing their fly-half, with Jack Crowley charged with arresting the Irish decline. I agree with the decision over the medium-term, but it’s unlikely to click immediately, particularly away at Twickenham. On general form, England should have the edge.
Prediction: England by 9
Wales have also changed their fly-half by recalling Sam Costelow, and I think they might put up more of a fight this week - albeit not enough to actually win.
Prediction: Scotland by 11
This won’t be one that the Italians are targeting for a win, and I don’t think they’ll have the belief that they can get anything out of the game, and so it could end up being another big French win.
Prediction: France by 33

Here are my Six Nations predictions for Round 3.
England v Ireland
After last week’s shock defeat to Scotland, England must bounce back here to keep any hopes of winning the Six Nations alive. The team selection is interesting, with Henry Pollock given his first start, and Ollie Lawrence will add a bit more directness in midfield, which should serve them well.Ireland have also made a big decision by changing their fly-half, with Jack Crowley charged with arresting the Irish decline. I agree with the decision over the medium-term, but it’s unlikely to click immediately, particularly away at Twickenham. On general form, England should have the edge.
Prediction: England by 9
Wales v Scotland
How to predict Scotland’s performance here, after they were abject in the rain in Rome and sublime at times against England? I expect them to beat the struggling Wales, but can they rack up a big score like some people seem to be expecting?Wales have also changed their fly-half by recalling Sam Costelow, and I think they might put up more of a fight this week - albeit not enough to actually win.
Prediction: Scotland by 11
France v Italy
Italy have been playing well, but this should be fairly straightforward for France in Lille, who have scored 90 points in their two matches so far. This won’t be one that the Italians are targeting for a win, and I don’t think they’ll have the belief that they can get anything out of the game, and so it could end up being another big French win.
Prediction: France by 33
