The 2025 Six Nations begins on Friday 31st January in Saint-Denis with France set to host Wales at the Stade de France.
Here are each of the squads that have been named for the championship.
England
The headline news from England's squad announcement is that Maro Itoje has been named as their new captain with Steve Borthwick explaining that he's keen to have a captain that is likely to play the full 80 minutes in most matches (previous skipper Jamie George is facing considerable competition for his place in the team from Theo Dan and Luke Cowan-Dickie).
France
France have gone big with their squad for this year's championship, both in terms of the stature of some of the players involved and just the number of names! Fabien Galthie has named 42 players in his initial squad, with fly-half Romain Ntamack welcomed back from injury and star man Antoine Dupont back to lead the side after missing last year in order to focus on playing Sevens at the Paris Olympics.
Ireland
Defending champions Ireland are aiming for a third consecutive title in 2025 and it will be interesting to see how they get on under interim coach Simon Easterby with Andy Farrell focused on his role with the British and Irish Lions this year. Caelan Doris will captain the team.
Italy
In considerable contrast to France, Italy have named just 30 players in their initial squad for the tournament so it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see more names added at some point (perhaps another Centre!). This will be the 25th anniversary of Italy joining the championship to make up the 'Six Nations' - can they avoid the Wooden Spoon do you think?
Scotland
Gregor Townsend has named a settled looking Scotland squad for 2025 with Fergus Burke the notable new name following a good start to his spell with Saracens having previously played in New Zealand for the Crusaders.
Wales
Finally, here is the Wales squad Warren Gatland has selected. There's plenty of returning experience as Josh Adams, Liam Williams and Taulupe Faletau are among the players back in after missing the 2024 tournament with injury, but there are also plenty of fresher faces, particularly in the backs, with Dan Edwards and Ellis Mee the uncapped call-ups.

Wooden spoon for Wales, sadly. Between England and France for the title - would prefer France as they are much more fun to watch

Pretty weak England squad. Lightweight props, average 2nd row, where’s Pollock, very weak centres, no full back. Struggling to see any world class players
