Here are my Six Nations predictions for Round 3.

Wales v Ireland
It's unusual for there to be a coaching change midway through the Six Nations, and whether we’ll see a ‘new manager bounce’ remains to be seen. I suspect it’s unlikely, given the deep-rooted nature of Wales’ problems, and there won’t be a quick fix unfortunately. Ireland dominated Scotland in a tricky fixture in Round 2, and I’m expecting another clinical performance and a comfortable win to keep their Grand Slam campaign on track. Prediction: Ireland by 23England v Scotland
Most people seem to be expecting a straightforward win for England at Twickenham, given they beat the mighty French side last time out. However, that glosses over the fact that France butchered several clear opportunities, were some way from their best, and it felt a bit careless that they ended up losing. England still have some way to go to consistently beat the top teams, and their defence is still a concern - Gregor Townsend’s Scotland will have the tactical nous to beat the blitz, and given the Scots have won the last four Calcutta Cup clashes in a row, I think England fans are getting a little carried away. Home advantage and some new-found confidence tips the balance slightly in England’s favour, but it is likely to be close. Prediction: England by 4Italy v France
I think we might see a backlash from France after they were too laissez-faire against England and ended up losing in the dying moments. They had more than enough opportunities to win that game, they’ll be regretting their missed chances and they’ve already made a statement before the match. Dropping Damian Penaud is a big call, as is moving Thomas Romas to fly-half, and the French coaches will make it clear that they are to show no mercy this week.
