2024 Six Nations: Round 4 Predictions

The Six Nations returns with the final two rounds over the next two weekends, with Ireland remaining on course for back-to-back Grand Slams.

Or will there be an upset this weekend to throw the championship open again?

Here are my Six Nations predictions for Round 4.

Italy v Scotland

The Scots remain in contention for the title having beaten England last weekend, and need to overcome this potential banana skin in Italy to retain any hopes. They took the chances gifted to them by England in the Calcutta Cup match in Round 3, and should have enough quality to win in Rome.

Italy came oh-so-close to a famous victory in Paris, and have proven that they can compete with everyone in the tournament. But yet victory continues to elude them, and they'll be targeting their last home game this weekend to notch up a win.

Scotland will start as favourites, but there could well be an upset on the cards here. I'm not quite brave enough to pick it, so I'm going with a narrow Scotland win. Scotland by 6.

Note from Editor Jack:

Unfortunately, while attempting to make a quick edit to this live article, Hutch's predictions for the other two fixtures in this round have been lost and I'm unable to restore them until later today when Hutch is available!

As a result, the content that many of you had already read prior to my attempted edit is unavailable for now. However, Hutch's predictions for the other two matches were:

England vs. Ireland: Ireland by 9

Wales vs. France: Wales by 2

Yes, you read that right. Wales by 2.

As I say, Hutch's explanations for these final two picks will hopefully be restored as soon as we can. In the meantime, feel free to continue the conversation in the comments regarding your own predictions!

Wales to beat France?!

Scotland and Ireland winning with big margins....more than 20. Still contemplating France margin.

2,365 caps
Wales to win? Erm...
7 Mar 18:36
77,598 caps
Wales to beat France?
Have the stars aligned?

4,154 caps
I see where Hutch is coming from. France haven't recovered from RWC disappointment and Wales have a young side withing to lose. The backing of 60,000 Taffs could make the difference in Cardiff.

27,940 caps
Gunning for France currently. They have made 8 changes for this game. A tough choice this one.
9 Mar 03:49

France win ofc
