2024 Rugby Championship Predictions: Round 4
The Wallabies caused an upset in Argentina last weekend, whilst the Boks edged past the All Blacks, and now we can look forward to a repeat of the same exciting fixtures.
Here are my Rugby Championship predictions for Round 4:
With this weekend's test at sea level in Cape Town, the home side loses one advantage, and Rassie has made all sorts of changes to the lineup, but he clearly has something up his sleeve and Handre Pollard will run the show at fly-half. I just can't see the World Champions losing at the moment.
Prediction: South Africa by 7
Prediction: Argentina by 4

Here are my Rugby Championship predictions for Round 4:
South Africa v New Zealand
The All Blacks wasted several points opportunities last weekend, which is very unlike them, and the Bomb Squad plus the altitude effect eventually saw the Springboks home. With this weekend's test at sea level in Cape Town, the home side loses one advantage, and Rassie has made all sorts of changes to the lineup, but he clearly has something up his sleeve and Handre Pollard will run the show at fly-half. Argentina v Australia
The Pumas start this one as favourites again, but the Wallabies will be full of confidence having won the first instalment last weekend. Was there some complacency from the home side given how much Australia had been written off? That won't be there this week, and I think they'll get their revenge.Prediction: Argentina by 4

I'm not complaining as a disgruntled Kiwi but as a Bru who stood to be only 1 point out. I've gotten off to a worse start than my Crusaders team this year! So I needed to gamble...a little. So I picked NZ by 2 as Razor seemed to be getting the old Crusader 'Magic' working for NZ vs a 'Past Full Bloom' Bok team. Pollard will push the average age even higher! All Blacks by 2 again. And Argentina to bounce back with Albornoz from the start this time and better weather.
I expect that had the ref been behind the tryline, he would not have awarded the try, but instead returned to the penalty advantage the Boks held, right in front of the posts. Had he done so, the course of the game would have changed. Whether that would have resulted i 7 Sep 05:14
