2023 Six Nations: Round 4 Predictions
There are some tricky picks coming up in Round 4, and hopefully it will set us up for a great finale in the last week.
Here are my Six Nations predictions for Round 4.

But, Warren Gatland’s selection policy seems to be all over the place, which combined with the results means confidence will be low, and if the Azzurri manage to get their tails up, I think they might still sneak it. Italy by 4
France’s best performance in the tournament so far was in defeat to Ireland in Round 2, and they have been underwhelming in the others. On paper, they are a better side and slight favourites, but their form is slightly patchy and what has swayed me towards a home win is their dreadful record at Twickenham - I’m always reluctant to back a travelling French team anyway, so I’m picking England this weekend. England by 2
Ireland are the number 1 team in the world, and the better side in this fixture. Scotland’s bubble will have been burst in Paris last weekend, Ireland will have greater motivation and they’ve won the last 7 in a row against the Scots. Ireland by 9
Here are my Six Nations predictions for Round 4.

Italy v Wales
I was all ready to pick an Italy win, but the loss of Ange Capuozzo could be critical here. He worries defences and either finds a gap himself, or creates space for others, and without him, Wales will be a little more comfortable. But, Warren Gatland’s selection policy seems to be all over the place, which combined with the results means confidence will be low, and if the Azzurri manage to get their tails up, I think they might still sneak it. England v France
The selection of Marcus Smith at fly-half for England is a bold call, but it makes the game a much more exciting prospect. There were signs of improvement against Wales even with Owen Farrell having a poor game, and so with Smith pulling the strings, we might see another step on here.France’s best performance in the tournament so far was in defeat to Ireland in Round 2, and they have been underwhelming in the others. Scotland v Ireland
This is not an easy pick either, and I’m conscious I could well be 0 from 2 going into Sunday! But then I also could be 2 from 2 with green arrows everywhere...Ireland are the number 1 team in the world, and the better side in this fixture. Italy by 1 Wales are woeful
England by 1 french terrible travellers
