Summary
The 2025-26 season is officially complete and what a memorable campaign it has been for Arsenal fans. The Gunners have lifted the Premier League trophy for the first time since 2004 after Mikel Arteta guided them to 85 points.

Though Manchester City will be disappointed to have lost out in the title race, Sunday was still a day of celebration at the Etihad too as City fans said farewell to John Stones, Bernardo Silva and, most significantly, Pep Guardiola. Guardiola leaves the club after 10 years in charge, during which time he has won 20 major trophies including 6 league titles.

Tottenham's 1-0 win over Everton means they have just about survived in a season that their supporters will now want to pretend never happened, as they maintained the 2-point gap between themselves and West Ham who have been relegated to the Championship.

Perhaps the most excitement on the final day came in the battle for European places. Bournemouth will play in the Europa League next season after a fantastic second half of this campaign saw them finish 6th, and they'll be joined, remarkably, by Sunderland.

Most people expected the Black Cats to be relegated straight back to the Championship this season after coming up via the play-offs in 2025, but a 2-1 victory over Chelsea on the final day has seen Sunderland rise up to 7th. An incredible achievement.

The final team playing in Europe next season will be Brighton, who dropped to 8th on the final day due to a defeat to Manchester United but that's still enough for a place in the Europa Conference League in 2026-27.
