Summary
It took 352 days, but the Premier League season is finally complete and Liverpool have the trophy safely in their hands with fears of 'null and void' now just a distant memory. This campaign will of course be remembered for years to come because of the disruption which led to 'Project Restart' behind closed doors, but the league has been completed in full and those of you who sit top of your Superbru pool leaderboard do so proudly with the full 380 picks made!
The final day of action was a particularly positive one for Chelsea, Manchester United and Aston Villa with the latter avoiding relegation and both Frank Lampard and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer securing Champions League football in 2020/21 for their respective clubs. Watford and Bournemouth were confirmed as the clubs that will be joining Norwich in the Championship next season while Tottenham moved up to sixth place which means they'll be playing Europa League football with Leicester next season.
Wolves, who dropped to 7th, may yet still qualify themselves if Chelsea win the FA Cup and the fact that they're still in this year's Europa League means there's even a possibility that they could be playing in the 2020/21 Champions League if they can go all the way!
You can assess your performance in this unique Premier League season below. Are you pleased with your effort or is there firm pressure to improve in the new campaign? Did you start slow and come good like Manchester United or fly out of the blocks before falling away like Leicester?
We'll be launching the new Premier League predictor tournament in early August once the final team that will be participating is confirmed. Leeds United and West Brom will be coming up to the big time with the play-offs to decide who will join them - Brentford, Fulham, Cardiff or Swansea.
However, you can pre-register for Premier League 2020/21 season by clicking here. Once pre-registered, we will automatically add you to our new game as soon as it launches. The break between seasons is shorter than usual for obvious reasons and the Premier League have recently confirmed the start date as September 12th.
If a little over 6 weeks is still far too long for you to go without any Superbru picking, fear not, for there is still a LOT of football taking place in the mean time. After the FA Cup final this Saturday, attention returns to the major European competitions from August 5th as both the Champions League and the Europa League will be played out in unusual single leg circumstances at neutral venues.
There's even a totally fresh domestic league season starting before that as the 2020/21 Scottish Premiership begins this Saturday. Steven Gerrard's Rangers are aiming to stop Celtic from winning an incredible 10th league title in a row - something that has never been done before in Scotland.
Thank you for playing our Premier League predictor this season, we hope you enjoyed it! We can't wait to do it all again in September.
