Summary
The 2024-25 season has proved to be the one where Paris Saint-Germain finally win the Champions League. Becoming only the second French club to lift the European Cup after Marseille in 1993, PSG's triumph caps an historic season in which they've won the treble under Luis Enrique.
Given the magnitude of the game and PSG's pursuit of a first ever European Cup, many expected a very close and tense affair on Saturday night, but Paris ensured the final was never even really a contest. Inter were blown away by the Parisian press at the Allianz Arena, with their former player Achraf Hakimi the first man on the scoresheet.
The star of the show was 19-year old Desire Doue whose brace all but ended Inter's chances of a first Champions League title since 2010, while further goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and substitute Senny Mayulu made it a record-breaking night for PSG.
