Prizes

We're thrilled to have Specialized, the top notch cycle gear manufacturer, as our prize sponsor for the tournament. And in this year’s inaugural Tour de France tournament, not only does the winner take home some bounty, but every South Africa-based player stands a chance of winning R5,000 worth of Specialized gear.
Top South African player
The top South Africa-based player at the end of the Tour de France tournament will win R10,000 worth of Specialized gear. This will be based on Tour de France specific game point allocation system, and only players who are resident in South Africa will be eligible.
Lucky draw
Every South Africa-based player registered in the game will be put into a lucky draw to win R5,000 of Specialized gear. The winner will be announced at the end of the tournament.
About Specialized
In 1974 Specialized founder and President Mike Sinyard started Specialized with three things – a passion for riding, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a close partnership with bike shops. These three elements have been the cornerstone of the Specialized brand.
The founding principle, a focus on the rider’s need for functional and technically advanced products that provide a performance benefit, is what makes us Specialized.
34 years later, Specialized has grown up, developing its own brand of components and bikes. Specialized has the most comprehensive range of bicycles and accessories in the world, from complete bikes to tubes. Distributors are appointed on a global scale as Specialized products are not available directly to the public.
The Specialized motto is “Innovate or Die” which is the cornerstone to keeping it streets ahead of its competitors.
Rules for prizes
  • A grand prize will be issued to the top South Africa-based player (i.e. resident in South Africa) at the end of the Tour de France (TDF formula).
  • No prizes will be issued to winners of individual pools.
  • Winning players will be notified by email.
  • Only one player will qualify for the grand prize of R10,000 worth of Specialized gear, even where there are ties in the points distribution (see Determination of Winners and Tie-Breaking Mechanism below for details on tie-breaking)
  • All registered South Africa-based participants of the SuperBru Tour de France tournament who elect to enter the lucky draw when they join the tournament will go into a lucky draw to win R5,000 worth of Specialized gear.
  • Any winning player that cannot be contacted by email as a result of having submitted an invalid email address to the game on registration will be disqualified from the prize and the prize will go to the next best, or next drawn player.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Nevado Ltd, Sport24 and Specialized reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.
  • Winners may be requested to take part in promotional activity and Nevado Ltd, Sport24 and Specialized reserve the right to use the names of winners and their photographs in any publicity.
  • Employees of Nevado Ltd, 24.com and Specialized or any such person's subsidiary or associated companies, agents or members of their families or households, are not eligible to win prizes. If such a person qualifies for a prize he or she will forfeit it to the next best, or drawn player.
  • These rules are governed by the laws of South Africa, England and Wales.
Tie-breaking for prizes
We may have a situation where two or more players qualify for prizes based on points totals. We will advise soon how ties will be broken.
