Vodacom Super Rugby Unlocked: Round 4 Predictions

Two correct picks last weekend has elevated me into the top 12% on the global leaderboard, and I’m hoping for more green arrows in Round 4.

Here are my predictions for this weekend’s matches.

Lions v Griquas

Both of these teams are yet to register a win, but it feels straightforward enough to pick the Lions. They beat the Griquas twice in last year’s Currie Cup, and with Elton Jantjies back in the team, they start as strong favourites. Lions by 13

Pumas v Sharks

I’m tempted to pick an upset here, with the high-scoring Pumas up against the Sharks. The Pumas have scored an average of 32 points in their 3 matches so far, and the Sharks shipped over 40 points at Loftus last weekend. The visitors are also missing two of their Springboks, and Ive talked myself into picking the Pumas. Pumas by 4

Bulls v Stormers

It’s usually sensible to pick the Bulls when they play at home, and particularly so in this fixture which the home side has won on 9 of the last 10 occasions. The Bulls dispatched the Sharks last weekend, whilst the Stormers weren’t particularly convincing in their narrow win over the Pumas. Bulls by 7
