Vodacom Super Rugby Unlocked: Round 3 Predictions

I managed 2 out of 3 correct picks last weekend, and certainly didn’t expect the Pumas to win at the Griquas. I went the right way on the 50/50 pick between the Cheetahs and the Bulls though, and that delivered some more green arrows and I’m into the top 20% on Superbru.

This week, there are two picks that will split the Superbru community, and it’s a chance to make some more gains on the leaderboard.

Pumas v Stormers

They may have won against the odds last weekend, but nobody is expecting the Pumas to beat the Stormers in Nelspruit. The Capetonians are missing a couple of players, but they should still win fairly comfortably. Stormers by 13

Lions v Cheetahs

The Superbru streaks for each team suggests you should pick the Cheetahs, with two wins compared to two defeats for the Lions. However, the Lions have had two narrow defeats away from home to strong opposition, whilst the Cheetahs have enjoyed two home games. I’m going for a home win here. Lions by 7

Bulls v Sharks

These two sides know each other well, and the Bulls have very much had the upper hand, with the Sharks winning just 1 of their last 10 meetings in Super Rugby. I’ll wait and see the Bulls lineup before locking my pick, but for now I’m tipping a home win. Bulls by 4
