Super Rugby: Team of the (regular) Season

We've now finished all 18 rounds of the Super Rugby season and it's likely that those of you playing both our predictor and fantasy games have had plenty of ups and downs throughout the campaign! Whilst you were busy pulling your hair out over yet another draw in the predictor, you'll perhaps have at least had a few reliable players in your fantasy team that you could count on to keep things semi-respectable each week. Here, we'll be celebrating the top scoring players so far which may also give you a little guidance ahead of the play-off rounds.

Based on total points scored in our fantasy game, here is the Superbru Super Rugby Team of the (regular) Season:

As you'll all know, the positions at Superbru are grouped into categories meaning there are some slight imperfections on the above graphic (Nanai usually plays at 15 for example) and to give you an idea of those who narrowly missed out on this XV, here's a list of the current top five scoring players in each position.

Feel free to let us know in the comments about who your star players have been throughout the regular season and perhaps who you are surprised to see with so many points on this list. Don't forget our game continues throughout the playoffs and there is now an increased limit of 6 transfers per player as well as an allowance for up to 6 players from a single team in your squad now rather than 4.

Best of luck with those final rounds!

If this is an indication of Southern Hemisphere best performers, then I don't have any hope for the World Cup.

Would like to see in brackets at the back of their names how many games each player played on this list.

Tube, I agree. I would also not mind to see a team consisting of the best players on an average points per game basis. 20 Jun 00:18
