Super Rugby: Team of Round Thirteen

Round 13 was a pretty high-scoring one in our Super Rugby fantasy game as the Brumbies and Crusaders picked up big-margin wins over the Sunwolves and Bulls respectively. The average bru scored around 170 points this week - the highest community average since Round 8 in our tournament.

Yet again, Sevu Reece proved himself to be golden for fantasy managers with a hat-trick in that Crusaders win in Pretoria. However, Reece was narrowly beaten to the TOTR captaincy by the Brumbies' Henry Speight. The Fijian bagged a brace and a lot of ball carry points as he helped his team to a 33-0 win over the Sunwolves.

Here is this week's best possible Super Rugby fantasy team along with the round stats:

Most represented teams in this week's TOTR: Brumbies, Crusaders, Highlanders (3 players), Rebels (2 players).

Dane Haylett-Petty is the man who completes a very high scoring trio of Outside Backs in this TOTR alongside the duo fighting for this week's captaincy. Tevita Kuridrani was the standout centre this week as he managed three try assists for the Brumbies which means he is now the fourth highest points scorer of all the centres in our game so far this season. Though the Brumbies have a bye in Round 14, he may well be worth a look with four relatively kind fixtures to come following that break.

This week's best FH and SH were also very high scoring as Richie Mo'unga picked up 26 points even without those given to him for his kicking! A brace for Brad Weber gave the Chiefs a very important win - particularly for those of you that picked them in our predictor game to get on the right side of the 50/50 game of Round 13. TJ Perenara (99) is the only Scrumhalf to have more points so far this season than Weber (98.5).

It's also a Brumbies jersey that stands out most when looking at the TOTR forwards as Peter Samu picked up 21.5 points yesterday. Hooper and Smith are both very well-known strong LSF options while the Sharks' Hyron Andrews has performed well at Lock all season. Liam Coltman (Hooker) has joined the race with Malcolm Marx - who also scored 17.5 in this round - and Folau Faingaa to be the highest scoring player this season in his position.

Well done to this week's best performing bru in the whole of our SR fantasy game - Melissa Stuart from South Africa! 'Melissa's Shiny Porcupines' scored a might 281 points in this round with Reece as captain, Mo'unga kicking and Dyantyi joining George Bridge to form a very strong trio of Outside Backs.

In our daily Super Rugby fantasy game - a different kind of test as you select five players you believe will perform best on each day of the Super Rugby season from lists we provide - the best possible selections were as follows:

Friday: S. Barrett, A. Ioane, Hodge, Reece, Mo'unga (112 points)
Saturday: Andrews, Smith, Weber, Dyantyi, Bosch (108 points)
Sunday: Carter, Samu, Kuridrani, Speight, Lealiifano (93.5 points)

Best of luck to you all in Round 14 where we are back to a 6-game round that starts on Friday with the Hurricanes playing the Jaguares.

Disagree with some of your picks. The standout full back this round was J. Barrett.

Jordie Barrett only scored 16 points. Way less than any of the back three in the team of the round. 15 May 23:29
