Super Rugby 2020: Round 4 Predictions
I was very close to a GSP last weekend, with only the Highlanders’ 84th minute try costing me a full house of predictions. Although, to be fair, the Stormers also scored a last-minute try to beat the Lions in another game that could have gone either way, and at least I was on the right end of that one.
My six picks out of seven beat the community average of 4.71 on Superbru, and I’m now comfortably inside the top 10% on the global leaderboard.
The GSP still eludes me, but perhaps this weekend is the one with only 6 fixtures to predict...
Here are my predictions for Round 4 of Super Rugby.
Let me know in the comments what you think! Good luck.

Here are my predictions for Round 4 of Super Rugby.
Crusaders v Highlanders
This is fairly straightforward on the face of it, with the reigning champions back in Christchurch, where they have beaten the Highlanders by over 20 points the last three times they have played. It should be a home win, everyone will pick it, and I’m going big. Crusaders by 18Rebels v Sharks
Curwin Bosch is back in the Sharks squad this weekend after missing their defeat at the Hurricanes, and I think he’ll help them back to winning ways against a Rebels team that looks awful. Sharks by 9Chiefs v Brumbies
This is another easy pick, with the unbeaten Chiefs at home in Hamilton, and although the Brumbies have started in reasonable form, it’s too early to expect them to win away in New Zealand. Chiefs by 23Reds v Sunwolves
The Sunwolves are away form home for the first time this season, and whilst their opening round win against the Rebels was a surprise, it might say more about the Rebels than the Sunwolves. The Reds have been all over the world, and will look forward to their first home game which should also be their first win. Reds by 16Stormers v Jaguares
The late winner against the Lions maintained the Stormers unbeaten start to the season, and they’ll be confident of another win back at Newlands. The Jaguares have never won there, and this should be an interesting match in terms of the outcome of the SA Conference. Stormers by 8Bulls v Blues
The Bulls have lost their opening two fixtures, away at the Sharks and the Stormers, but they’ll fancy their chances against the Blues, who haven’t won in Pretoria since 2012, back when they were a half-decent side. They haven’t actually played here since 2014, such are the quirks of the Super Rugby scheduling, and that was a 16-point win for the Bulls. Bulls by 13Let me know in the comments what you think! Good luck.
I backed the Rebels to narrowly beat the woeful Waratahs. I think you are being a bit harsh as they can score OK (That's why I backed them) but can't defend as well, so Fassi, Mapimpi et al will be licking their lips. The Rebels need to sign that rapid Streaker from Dunedin - pay him in Speights Lager cases.
Chiefs&Crusaders 13/18 resp.
Blues by 10 19 Feb 16:18
The obvious very seldom happens over a Superugby weekend. There will be a strange result or 2, the question is where?
The rest I agree with, quite obvious, we know the setup will be there but where
Pick is on them by 8
