Premier League: Team of Round 12
A relatively tough week in our Premier League fantasy games (though not as difficult as the predictor!) saw the average bru manage 44 points in Round 12 which compares to 50 in Round 11. A fairly even spread of goals and assists across teams means that plenty of players picked up points but there weren't many breaking into double figures.
This week's Team of the Round sees a 4-5-1 formation include one too many Liverpool players (if looking at this in terms of 11-a-side Superbru rules) as well as two players from both Manchester City and Tottenham. A very large number of players across each position scored 7 points this week meaning you could replace Salah or Trent Alexander-Arnold with anyone from that long list of players to make this side the legal 11-a-side TOTR. Those on said list of players are of course equally good picks to those listed on the graphic with 7 points.
Foyth is understandably owned by 0% of brus having only made his league debut for Tottenham last week where he conceded two penalties! A winning goal in a London derby is quite the turnaround for the 20-year old who Mauricio Pochettino did well to stick by. However, with Tottenham's next two games also being London derbies against Chelsea and Arsenal, it's unlikely many will be rushing to pick up Spurs defenders in the upcoming international break.
Liverpool provide two of the remaining three defenders in the TOTR backline as full-backs Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold managed 10 and 9 points respectively against Fulham. Both players managed an assist with Robertson's point for interceptions making him a marginally better option for those who sided with him when deciding which Liverpool defender to pick for Sunday's 5-a-side round. There was no clean sheet for Jose Holebas at Southampton but his goal that earned Watford a point at St Mary's means he is the final defender in the Round 12 backline.
It was the Silva's that were the real stars in that massive Manchester clash though as Pep Guardiola's side dominated their city rivals. David scored the opener to boost his Superbru points tally to 7 while Bernardo grabbed two assists and managed 8 points - both players put in excellent performances along with Fernandinho in what looks to be City's preferred midfield three right now. The other midfield players to manage 7 points in this round were Alex Pritchard, Ivan Cavaleiro and Xherdan Shaqiri.
We now enter the November international break which is always a little annoying for Premier League fans though we can be motivated by some interesting fixtures that will be played when Round 13 does eventually come around.

Defence
Hugo Lloris is this week's goalkeeper in our TOTR as one of three keepers to have scored 7 points in Round 12 - Liverpool's Alisson and Burnley's Hart were the other two. Lloris made more than three saves to keep a clean sheet against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park as Tottenham managed a 1-0 victory. The winning goal in that game came from an unlikely source in Juan Foyth who heads up the back four as the joint highest scoring player in this week's top scoring team.Foyth is understandably owned by 0% of brus having only made his league debut for Tottenham last week where he conceded two penalties! Midfield
Mo Salah is the third and final Liverpool player in this team as he scored Liverpool's opener against Fulham in a fast counter-attack that followed a controversially disallowed goal for the Whites. Salah leads a midfield five that are all relatively big names in the football and Premier League fantasy world. Felipe Anderson is in for the second week in a row thanks to his equalising goal at Huddersfield while Anthony Martial continued his fine scoring form with a penalty in the Manchester derby. It was the Silva's that were the real stars in that massive Manchester clash though as Pep Guardiola's side dominated their city rivals. Strikers
The lone striker and joint top scorer in the Round 12 Team of the Round is Newcastle's Salomon Rondon! It's always great to see different players feature in the TOTR and a Newcastle forward can certainly be considered a surprise since they've now managed back-to-back victories following what was their only win of the season last week. The big Venezuelan scored a brace against Bournemouth with the second goal being an absolute bullet header to hand the Magpies victory. If you've not seen it, the fact that Newcastle fans are comparing Rondon's goal with the great Les Ferdinand tells you it's worth looking up on the internet. We now enter the November international break which is always a little annoying for Premier League fans though we can be motivated by some interesting fixtures that will be played when Round 13 does eventually come around.
