Premier League: Team of Round 11

The Superbru community average dropped by 3 points to 50 in Round 11 of our Premier League fantasy game, though there were plenty of points to be had across the weekend as the goals flew in (not so much on Monday).

This week's Team of the Round is a rather blue and very attacking XI that includes a midfield of five wingers - someone had to play the defensive anchor role on the graphic below so apologies to Richarlison for that. Another crushing win for Manchester City means they are over-represented with three players in the top scoring XI. If this graphic was to show the best possible XI in our 11-a-side fantasy game then Sane would be replaced for an extra striker as Harry Kane and Raul Jimenez both managed 9 points.

Defence

Kasper Schmeichel takes the GK spot this week after playing a big part in the tremendous response Leicester have shown to the awful helicopter tragedy both off the pitch and on it against Cardiff. Everyone was delighted to see the Foxes pick up that 1-0 win. Interestingly, Leicester were one of just three teams to keep a clean sheet this week with an unexpected duo of Newcastle and Huddersfield being the other two. Both Dubravka and Lossl therefore also picked up 6 points in this round and were equally good picks for your fantasy teams.

Ben Chilwell also makes the TOTR thanks to that Leicester clean sheet and the assist he provided for Demarai Gray's winner. Joining him in a back three is Seamus Coleman and Mathias Jorgensen or 'Zanka' as everyone knows him. Coleman's points were all awarded for attacking traits as he found the net and completed more than three dribbles in Everton's 3-1 win against Brighton. That return can be considered fairly typical for Everton under Marco Silva, as clean sheets are arguably less likely for their players as a consequence of the higher amount of attacking returns.

Zanka also isn't your man if you're looking for clean sheets as Huddersfield are of course struggling, but the Danish centre half picked up 10 points in last night's win after making a ridiculous number of interceptions! As well as picking up an additional point for completing three tackles when helping his team to a clean sheet, Zanka made 9 (nine) interceptions to earn an extra three points.

Midfield

As mentioned earlier, all five of the players in this TOTR midfield are very attacking - none more so than Everton's Richarlison who is well worth considering having operated as a striker for the last few weeks. The Brazilian bagged a brace against Brighton this week to help reach an impressive tally of 13 points but does face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next weekend so would be a gamble for Round 12.

Matching Richarlison's tally of 13 is Felipe Anderson who started to show signs of the brilliance he consistently displayed at Lazio in West Ham's 4-2 victory over Burnley. Anderson also scored twice and could have had a point more had he not been booked. Five of West Ham's next six games can be considered very 'winnable' so it's worth having a look at their squad for potential additions. Despite making double figures, the lowest scoring midfielders in this week's XI were Chelsea's Pedro (11) and Manchester City's Sane (10) who each managed a goal and an assist on Sunday.

As all 5-a-side fantasy players will know, it was Raheem Sterling who stole the Sunday show though as he managed an incredible 19 points in City's 6-1 win against Southampton. Two goals and two assists were the reasons behind Sterling's impressive score and whilst it always feels risky picking City players because of their squad depth, Sterling does appear to be the best of their talented range of wingers and is certainly one of Guardiola's favourite squad members.

Strikers

There's a rare TOTR appearance from Chelsea's Alvaro Morata as the Spaniard scored twice against Crystal Palace to partner a man who's no stranger to the TOTR in Sergio Aguero. Morata has benefitted from a lack of other striker options at Chelsea in recent weeks as he has continued to start despite some poor performances but has that run of games now begun to pay off? With the likes of Eden Hazard around there's always likely to be chances created and it seems Morata is guaranteed to play a fair amount of games between now and Christmas if he can stay fit.

Aguero, on the other hand, was an obvious pick in both of our fantasy games (certainly the 5-a-side Sunday round) as he came up against Southampton at home. Just how many stick with the Argentine for the Manchester derby and West Ham away will be interesting to see.

Let me know how you got on in each of our fantasy games during this round. Round 12 is the final round before the November international break and only includes Saturday and Sunday fixtures. The early game on Saturday is between Cardiff and Brighton meaning there perhaps isn't too much advantage to be gained from early team news there but Liverpool kick things off against struggling Fulham on Sunday which means many will look to build their 5-a-side teams around their starting XI.
