Premier League Round 6 Predictions!

After getting 8/10 Premier League outcomes correct in Round 1 of this season's predictor, I've now managed 5/10 in every single round since so make sure you ignore half of my predictions below! At such an early stage there is still very little reason to panic and as we saw last week with yet another Exact Score Challenge prize winner, it is possible to fly up the global rankings very quickly in just a single round.

In case you missed this article, Emad Hijazi is the latest bru to win a prize from our Exact Score Challenge as he managed an incredible 7 exacts in a round that saw him get every single outcome correct! Given that's such an impressive achievement, feel free to go and congratulate him just as many of you already have in the comments of that news piece.

Here are the fixtures that are taking place this weekend along with my personal predictions below:

Fulham vs. Watford

Watford dropped their first points of the season last week against United having had such a good start and yet this game remains very tricky to call since the Hornets have only played one away game so far this season. Though impressive, their win against Burnley will have been aided by the Clarets' Europa League involvements and Fulham are a good side at home who will score goals. Will Watford cause the vulnerable Fulham defence enough problems? Quite possibly but I just have a feeling for Fulham so will be hoping they can hold on to a lead more effectively (if they get one) when at home. Prediction: Fulham 2-1 Watford

Burnley vs. Bournemouth

Burnley have been dreadful so far this season because they look so short of goals and with Bournemouth playing nicely so far there's likely to be an understandable Superbru majority behind the Cherries. I'm very torn on this one as Bournemouth have shown great form but Turf Moor isn't a place they'll enjoy playing and Sean Dyche will do all he can to ensure his team don't lose a fifth league game on the bounce. I think Bournemouth will score simply because of the amount of possession they'll have but I can also see a set piece bundle goal coming for Burnley to even things out. Prediction: Burnley 1-1 Bournemouth

Cardiff vs. Manchester City

I was as shocked as nearly all other Superbru players to see Manchester City let me down in the Champions League predictor this week as they slipped up against Lyon but that result is probably the worst thing that could have happened for Cardiff. Warnock's side will kick City about as much as possible and may keep things tight for the first half but I can only see the visitors winning. The City players were lucky Guardiola wasn't allowed in the dressing room at half-time in that Lyon game and certainly won't play like that again on Saturday! Prediction: Cardiff 0-2 Manchester City

Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle

Somewhat surprisingly, Newcastle have scored in all but one of their games this season and it was only in the one that they didn't score in that the Magpies managed a point. Aside from that goalless draw with Cardiff, Newcastle have lost 2-1 in all four of their other matches and there'll no doubt be plenty of people going with that scoreline this week too! However, though Zaha is the only major goal threat Palace have, I do think Benteke will be a slight miss simply because of the structure he provides the team with as a target man. I think if Benitez's Newcastle can find another goal here then they should be able to prevent Palace from scoring many at the other end. Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Newcastle

Leicester vs. Huddersfield

After that awful performance against Bournemouth last week, this is the one fixture Leicester would probably dream they could have next in order to stand the best possible chance of responding with a win. That isn't to say Huddersfield definitely won't get something here as Leicester have been far from convincing, but I do expect the Foxes to get the three points. Prediction: Leicester 2-0 Huddersfield

Liverpool vs. Southampton

Liverpool look very strong this season and deserve a lot of respect after the performances they put in against both Tottenham and then PSG on Tuesday night as well. Klopp simply needs to keep this momentum rolling for as long as he possibly can and Southampton shouldn't be a large enough obstacle to stop him. The fact Danny Ings can't play against his parent club is another factor that decreases Southampton's chances further. Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Southampton

Manchester United vs. Wolves

This should be very interesting. Wolves have been great so far and have shown they can play in a couple of different ways meaning the big teams will not be looking forward to facing the newly promoted side. Having managed an impressive draw against City, Wolves have picked up back-to-back 1-0 wins but I fear that may be the result they suffer this weekend at Old Trafford. Matic is a huge miss for United but I think Mourinho will restrict his team far more than he has in recent weeks as a result and try and make this game as tight and restricted as possible. If I happen to be right and the match then comes down to who can make the most of half chances and the odd stand-out opportunity, it's Manchester United who win it. Prediction: Manchester United 1-0 Wolves

Brighton vs. Tottenham

I've been seriously considering 1-1 for this one as I think Tottenham have got real problems but Brighton just seem to be conceding a little too often and it's because of this that I think Spurs can get three points. Pochettino seems to be feeling the pressure a little and after making no signings whatsoever and now some pretty embarassing reports emerging about the stadium development process, it's hard not to feel that Daniel Levy and the Tottenham hierarchy are putting what should be a very successful period for the club at risk. Though titles won't come without consistency and squad depth, Harry Kane will be desperate to silence critics and with the likes of Christian Eriksen able to score from nothing, Spurs will still win games. Prediction: Brighton 1-2 Tottenham

West Ham vs. Chelsea

London derbies are always unpredictable and West Ham often do OK against Chelsea. This will be a tough game for the Blues particularly if West Ham are at it from kick-off but you can't ignore the season form which shows Chelsea to be very strong and the hosts to have only performed in one game. All whilst the Blues continue to win games under a manager they should keep improving under through this season and beyond, it's hard to go against Chelsea. Prediction: West Ham 1-3 Chelsea

Arsenal vs. Everton

Arsenal have a super home record against Everton and I see that continuing on Sunday. Gunners fans can be encouraged by the away wins they've begun picking up under Emery and they should stay as strong at home in these kind of games as they always were under Wenger too. With Richarlison back from suspension, Marco Silva's team will be even stronger going forward and should score against this Arsenal defence but I can't see them getting three points. Prediction: Arsenal 3-1 Everton

Quite a few 2 goal margins with 2-0s & 1-3s and only 1 draw. You need to consider a 3 goal margin as being as equally likely as a 1 goal margin, to go down the middle with 2 goal margins. Stats-wise 1 goal margins are far more common than 3 goals so perhaps you should temper things with 1-2 instead of 1-3. We had lots of 1-2s last round. Just sayin'.
