Premier League Round 31 Predictions!

Round 30 of the Premier League wasn't an easy one at Superbru with the average player managing just 4/10. I had 5 correct picks myself thanks to Newcastle's impressive comeback at Everton though a lack of an exact score means I have essentially just stayed where I was on the global leaderboard.

As has been mentioned several times in recent weeks, Round 31 is a strange round that contains just 5 games due to the FA Cup quarter-finals also taking place this week - remember to make your FA Cup picks too!

Here are my PL predictions. Let me know how yours compare in the comments section below.

Bournemouth vs. Newcastle

The form is definitely with Newcastle ahead of this one but Bournemouth are solid at home against teams around/beneath them on the table. Callum Wilson showed last week how important he is to this team and now that he's back and firing after injury I think the Cherries should have too much for Newcastle. The visitors should find a goal given the form of Rondon and Perez but I think Eddie Howe's side will score more. Prediction: Bournemouth 3-1 Newcastle

Burnley vs. Leicester City

Burnley are in need of a win but this won't be easy against a Leicester side filled with optimism under Rodgers. Jamie Vardy looks very dangerous again but I can't see Burnley playing a very high line so his impact may be a little less than it would be against a more daring team than the Clarets. I'm struggling to pick a winner in this match but can see both teams scoring. Prediction: Burnley 1-1 Leicester

West Ham vs. Huddersfield

West Ham let a lot of us down last week with that loss at Cardiff but you have to back them here given their opposition. Huddersfield just haven't been scoring enough goals and West Ham have plenty of players that can hurt them at the other end. I'd be amazed to see the Hammers drop points again this weekend. Prediction: West Ham 3-0 Huddersfield

Fulham vs. Liverpool

This game is made a little more interesting by Liverpool's potential fatigue after an away trip to Munich and the fact that they haven't scored an away Premier League goal since February 4th. However, you'd still have to be very brave to pick Fulham. The hosts are one more loss away from a completely red form guide on Superbru and with Liverpool set to move top of the league with three points, I have to go with an away win. Prediction: Fulham 0-2 Liverpool

Everton vs. Chelsea

Chelsea's home draw against a team parking the bus last week was something we've seen on many occasions this season and clubs will continue to do it against the Blues all whilst it's working. Everton are a side that have already had success with that approach having drawn 0-0 at Stamford Bridge, and though I expect them to be slightly less timid at Goodison, it still doesn't make sense for them to open this game up much. I expect a pretty low scoring affair as a result but feel Chelsea may just nick it and move level with Arsenal in fourth place. Everton aren't the most disciplined side defensively and the crowd will start getting on their backs if they sit too deep. Prediction: Everton 0-1 Chelsea
