Premier League Round 30 Predictions!

An average 6/10 round last weekend with no exact picks meant a red arrow on the global leaderboard for me. We now enter the 'run-in' as each team faces their final 9 games (or 10 in some cases) and it's time to start taking some risks at Superbru here and there if you're chasing Yellow Caps!

Don't forget that next week's round is only a half-round with 5 fixtures due to the FA Cup quarter-finals taking place. Looking at each team's fixture schedule is advisable at this stage of the season if you're playing our full fantasy game and indeed the predictor in order to judge fatigue/rotation levels. We have double gameweeks on the horizon and important European ties for the big clubs.

Here are my Round 30 predictions.

Crystal Palace vs. Brighton

We begin with a pretty fierce derby that Brighton managed to win earlier in the season at the Amex. The problem for the Seagulls is their away form and even though Palace haven't been great at home this year, I expect them to win this match for their fans. Sakho will be a big miss for the Eagles but the Superbru Insights tell me Brighton haven't won at Selhurst Park since 2005 and their home win vs. bottom of the table Huddersfield last time out wasn't overly convincing. Prediction: Crystal Palace 2-1 Brighton

Cardiff vs. West Ham

Things really aren't going Cardiff's way at the moment - an unfortunate injury for Sol Bamba that has ruled him out for the season being a fresh example. West Ham are in solid form at the moment and I think they'll have too much for them. The Hammers should keep improving under Pellegrini who is of course a top manager and the recently returned Manuel Lanzini should be useful for helping to find goals in games like this. Prediction: Cardiff 0-2 West Ham

Huddersfield vs. Bournemouth

I think there'll be goals here. Bournemouth are a good attacking side but have been woeful on the road lately and Huddersfield may well look to attack more than usual. The Cherries owe it to their fans to have a go after last week's ridiculously passive defeat against Manchester City and I'm hoping Huddersfield come out and play given that each game is essentially a free swing for them now. Let's be bold. Prediction: Huddersfield 2-3 Bournemouth

Leicester vs. Fulham

Both Brendan Rodgers and Scott Parker can be relatively pleased with how their teams played during their first games in charge last week but a win is now needed, especially for Rodgers. That may sound stupid as it's obviously Fulham who are more desperate for points but even the Whites themselves appear resigned to the fact they'll go down with Parker essentially brought in to try and bring back some of the club's identity. This is a game Leicester really ought to win and I think they'll do so comfortably with a fresh vibe at the King Power. Prediction: Leicester 2-0 Fulham

Newcastle vs. Everton

I've been impressed with Newcastle and so was a little surprised to see them never really get in the game at West Ham last week. Everton managed a good result against Liverpool which will have raised confidence but we can expect them to be playing with about 10% less quality and 30% less motivation this week. It's a real shame for Newcastle and Sean Longstaff that the young midfielder is now out for the season after such a strong break into the headlines but I think they'll have enough to beat an Everton side that is still vulnerable defensively, especially against strikers who thrive off set piece deliveries like Rondon. Prediction: Newcastle 1-0 Everton

Southampton vs.Tottenham

Tottenham's recent Premier League form doesn't look good but they'll surely be playing with more fluidity after such a good result in Germany in midweek. With no fixture next week, Spurs can give everything here and they also have Dele Alli back. Southampton aren't a bad side as they showed at Old Trafford in Round 29 but I think they'll fall just short again. Prediction: Southampton 1-2 Tottenham

Manchester City vs. Watford

Watford are actually in pretty good form but you only have to look at their recent result at Anfield to see that they're very unlikely to win this match. City have a Champions League game on Tuesday but it isn't one they'll be too worried about and they I think they'll sail through this. Prediction: Manchester City 3-0 Watford

Liverpool vs. Burnley

Liverpool haven't been convincing of late but they're very strong at home and Burnley's recent good run has now been ended by consecutive defeats. I'd be very surprised to see anything other than a Liverpool win here. Their craving for the Premier League title is such that this game is more important to the club and their fans than Wednesday's Champions League game in Munich. Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Burnley

Chelsea vs. Wolves

This is a tough game for Chelsea. They played Thursday evening (albeit at home), lost away at Wolves earlier in the season and Nuno rested plenty of players last week who you would expect will be back and raring to go for this one. There's a lot at stake for the Blues as they will go fourth at least temporarily with a win and I think they'll just nick it but wouldn't be surprised to see a draw. Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Wolves

Arsenal vs. Manchester United

What a game this should be. You probably don't need to me to tell you about how each of these teams got on in France this week and it goes without saying that United's fans will be bouncing heading into the Emirates. Arsenal have been very good at home though and I feel this game will be very even since both teams are far better at attacking than they are defending. Martial should be back which is huge for United and will cause real problems for Arsenal with their right-back issues. I make the visitors slight favourites but feel Arsenal can match the result they managed at Old Trafford earlier in the season. Prediction: Arsenal 1-1 Manchester United

I just disagree with you on one match. Newcastle vs Everton should be a 1 - 1 draw. I also don’t see it being that easy for Man City vs Watford. I’m going for a 2 - 1 victory for Man City.

I think the Newcastle and Everton game would be a 2-2 draw and Manchester united would beat arsenal by a narrow 1-2 because of momentum and because they've dine it before at the FA cup
