Premier League Round 15 Predictions!

Round 14 was a relatively good one for me, as despite only getting the average score of 5/10 correct picks, four of them were exact! Those predictions handed me another big green arrow on the global leaderboard so I'm hoping to keep some momentum up in this midweek round.

The games are going to come thick and fast in December so if you're prone to forgetting picks now and again it's a good idea to make some in advance for future rounds as you can always edit them nearer the time. Round 15 has numerous games that look tricky to call - especially since you have to consider fixture congestion. Here are my thoughts on each game for you to have a look at before letting me know how you think each game will go!

Bournemouth vs. Huddersfield

It's easy to be put off by Bournemouth's form guide on Superbru but when you look at the teams they've been playing in the four defeats they've now suffered in a row, they're all understandable losses. Sure, Eddie Howe would have hoped to pick up four or five points, but this is now a golden chance to pick up a much-needed win as their fixtures don't get much easier over Christmas. Huddersfield will be very disappointed to have lost they way they did against Brighton and ruin their good run. It's hard to see them winning at the Vitality. Prediction: Bournemouth 2-0 Huddersfield

Brighton vs. Crystal Palace

This is the 'derby' that no-one outside of the supporters of either team actually understands but it means there'll be quite an atmosphere at the Amex and we can expect the players of either team to give everything in a game that will have some emotion to it. After Palace's win over Burnley on Saturday, this should be quite competitive but with Brighton also winning and having home advantage, I'm leaning slightly towards the Seagulls. Prediction: Brighton 2-1 Crystal Palace

West Ham vs. Cardiff

I'm going for another home victory here even though it seems impossible for West Ham to actually string two wins together this season. What a great result they managed at Newcastle at the weekend and you have to believe they'll have enough quality to defeat a resilient but ultimately poor Cardiff side who won't win many games at all on the road this season. Neil Warnock will certainly believe his side have a chance at the London stadium but they're more likely to win vs. Southampton at home in R16 than they are here. Prediction: West Ham 1-0 Cardiff

Watford vs. Manchester City

I'll obviously be picking Manchester City to win this game but I do think Watford will give them a game under the lights at Vicarage Road. City were already without Aguero at the weekend due to some injury concerns over the striker - which obviously adds to the long-term injuries to KDB and Mendy - and they have Chelsea away on Saturday meaning Guardiola will likely select a team that can win this game but that won't harm their chances of winning at Stamford Bridge. You'd imagine Watford would happily take just 1 point from their two tricky games this week but expect a further rotated City side to narrowly win this. Watford 0-2 Manchester City

Burnley vs. Liverpool

Other than that two-week period at the end of September, Burnley can't buy a win this season and they'll start worrying about their hopes of survival if things don't improve before the new year. In contrast to what we've seen in previous years, the big clubs have been finding things quite easy at Turf Moor so I expect Liverpool to be fine here. The Reds haven't been fantastic for a few weeks now but they'll have some opportunities to score throughout this match. Burnley 1-3 Liverpool

Everton vs. Newcastle

Everton are the obvious pick given recent form and the good performance they put in at Anfield before losing in such frustrating circumstances at the last. I'm slightly apprehensive of a potential squad hangover after that loss but Marco Silva should be able to get his team right and ready to put down a response against a Newcastle side that are in need of one themselves following that heavy defeat against West Ham on Saturday. Everton 3-1 Newcastle

Fulham vs. Leicester

This is probably the game I'm finding most tricky in R15 as all three outcomes are a possibility. Leicester have been playing well and are certainly favourites but the Ranieri factor is of course especially appropriate against the Foxes. Fulham were far from convincing defensively against Southampton and didn't offer much at Stamford Bridge on Sunday so I'm still yet to be convinced that Ranieri can things around quickly. If Schurrle is back in the starting XI I may consider going 1-1 for this game but right now I'm going for Leicester. Fulham 1-2 Leicester

Wolves vs. Chelsea

Chelsea got back to winning ways last weekend against Fulham though Wolves won't be fearing the Blues as much as they perhaps would have been earlier in the season given recent performances. That said, Chelsea can probably feel exactly the same way about Wolves! The hosts really need a win to get back on track but their unlikely to find it here. Both teams appear a striker short and though Chelsea still look questionable defensively, they should create enough chances to win this match. Wolves 0-2 Chelsea

Manchester United vs. Arsenal

There's no doubting that Arsenal are the favourites here, especially after such a great performance in the NLD. However, I'm really struggling to pick them. The Gunners haven't done well at Old Trafford in the Premier League for years and Jose Mourinho will be desperate not to lose to Arsenal from a personal perspective as well. It's true that United haven't been this bad for a long time, but it's often hard to repeat performance levels after a game with as much riding on it as the NLD and I think Arsenal would need to play as well as they did in that derby if they're to also win at Old Trafford. Xhaka will be a big miss for Arsenal but there are suggestions that Mourinho will again put out a very unorthodox XI due to injuries. Whatever the team lineups look like, I think I'll be sticking with a draw. Manchester United 1-1 Arsenal

Tottenham vs. Southampton

A response is of course needed from Spurs following the NLD and this should be routine. Mark Hughes has been sacked since the 2-2 draw with Manchester United meaning first team assistant coach Kelvin Davis will be in interim charge for this one. I can't see things changing very dramatically for the Saints until a permanent new manager comes in - it's crucial they get that appointment right. Prediction: Tottenham 3-0 Southampton
