Premier League Round 12 Predictions!

Last week's 6/10 wasn't a fantastic round for me but I'm not too demotivated as there are still plenty of rounds and therefore twists for us to enjoy before the end of the season. Marcus Rashford's late equaliser at Bournemouth was my Superbru killer in Round 11 as my 1-1 pick would have been exact otherwise! Instead I had a fairly large red arrow on the global leaderboard so I'm eager to bounce back with a little more fortune this time out.

Here are the Round 12 fixtures along with my thoughts on each of them. Remember to submit your own after reading through mine for a free chance to win up to £50,000 in our Exact Score Challenge. Competition remains tough with more than 20 of you nailing 5 exacts last weekend!

Cardiff vs. Brighton

Not the most thrilling fixture to kick things off but with the gap between the top six teams in the league and the rest widening considerably in recent seasons, such matches are of huge importance for the likes of Cardiff who need all the home wins they can get as they look to survive. I think this one will be tricky for them though. Despite last week's 3-1 defeat at Everton, Brighton are an organised side under Chris Hughton which doesn't bode well for Cardiff who struggle to score. I think the hosts might be able to find themselves one goal but Brighton are likely to take a couple of chances while they're looking for it. Prediction: Cardiff 1-2 Brighton

Huddersfield vs. West Ham

Huddersfield did really well to win that massive six pointer over Fulham on Monday and whilst I think there's a chance they could follow it up with another point or three here, I'm backing West Ham to narrowly come out on top. Despite the fitness concerns I mentioned last week, Arnautovic was impressive against Burnley last week and with Felipe Anderson also showing form they should have the fire power to make up for the weakness that remain defensively. Two identical scorelines for the opening two games does seem unlikely but that's what I'm going with! Prediction: Huddersfield 1-2 West Ham

Leicester vs. Burnley

Leicester did so well to win last week after everything that's happened while Burnley look awful at the back - something you'd never think you'd be saying at this time last season. The King Power will of course have a very emotional atmosphere but I think the Foxes have proven they can thrive under that and this isn't an easy day for Burnley to be visiting. Maddison is a big miss for Leicester but I think they can find goals against this Burnley defence regardless. Prediction: Leicester 2-0 Burnley

Newcastle vs. Bournemouth

Newcastle finally won last weekend after riding their luck in a first half full of opportunities for Watford. I don't expect Bournemouth to be quite so wasteful. Callum Wilson should be right up for this after a long-awaited and deserved England call-up and I think he and his team should have the better of the Magpies on Saturday. Prediction: Newcastle 0-2 Bournemouth

Southampton vs. Watford

The rumours were that Mark Hughes will be sacked with a loss here but after the departure of vice-chairman Les Reed on Thursday morning it's a little unclear whether the situation has changed. Either way, Southampton have been dreadful and unless there's a drastic turnaround you can only see this finishing with a defeat or 0-0 draw for them. As I've mentioned a few times and as was shown beautifully last week, Watford are my bogey team but I'd feel silly picking Southampton to win this. Surely Watford can't fail to score for two weeks on the bounce given the fixtures they have? Prediction: Southampton 0-1 Watford

Crystal Palace vs. Tottenham

Palace are really struggling and if Tottenham have any sense they'll follow the approach of Chelsea last week who kept Wilfried Zaha out of the game completely. However, like last week I feel Palace could still score as they'll have a very vocal home crowd for this fixture and Spurs will therefore need a couple. Can they get them? There's every reason to believe so with Dele Alli back in contention and Harry Kane firing. That said, Mousa Dembele's injury that will keep him out for the rest of 2018 is a huge blow for them going into the Christmas period. Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-2 Tottenham

Liverpool vs. Fulham

This could be a cricket score. Fulham just cannot defend and if you're conceding three goals or more in games against Everton, Bournemouth and Cardiff then Anfield is the last place you want to be visiting. Liverpool's result in Belgrade on Tuesday was dreadful but that should only increase their motivation to put in a big performance on Sunday. I worry for Fulham and especially Jokanovic who will be wary of the looming international break which clubs tend to like for a managerial change. Prediction: Liverpool 4-0 Fulham

Chelsea vs. Everton

Chelsea are looking good at the minute and Stamford Bridge appears as hard a place to visit as it has been for years. Now the only unbeaten team across Europe's top five leagues in all competitions, I expect the Blues to defeat Everton fairly comfortably on Sunday. The Toffees still aren't right defensively and will be without Zouma against his parent club so Chelsea will certainly feel confident in attack. I have a feeling they can also keep a clean sheet in this one but that is just a feeling without much of an argument as Everton have scored in each of their last five. Prediction: Chelsea 3-0 Everton

Arsenal vs. Wolves

There won't be too many watching this one despite it being on a Sunday due to the game taking place at the same time as the Manchester derby. Wolves showed some fight and good football as usual against Spurs last week but had already given themselves far too much to do. I see Arsenal being far too strong here and expect them to pick up a fairly comfortable win. Wolves will need to be a lot more clinical in front of goal if they are to get anything. Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Wolves

Manchester City vs. Manchester United

What a game this should be. Manchester United have been a lot better in recent weeks and a win at Juventus is hugely impressive regardless of how the game played out. However, Mourinho's team still concede far too many chances and now face their city rivals who cannot stop scoring. I think United have the growing confidence and motivation to make this very competitive but if you're looking at stats and form alone, City could batter them.

As I say, derby days are usually tight and as City found out last year, you can't assume a game of this magnitude is safe until it's over. I expect them to learn from that mistake and pick up the win they should have done last season. United will have spells where they're on top and will need to take any chances they can get against a side that have only conceded four times in the league this season, but I just feel there'll be so many opportunities created at the other end that City will pull through. Prediction: Manchester City 3-1 Manchester United

Let me know how your picks differ in the comments! Best of luck to all in Round 12.

Also, I make my predictions first in my head or on a sheet of paper or wherever and then i use jacks to kinda find an average or get a better undertsanding of these fixtures and then I will submit my final draft. For instance I had a 1-0 to brighton in the first game but then changed it to 2 because of what jack said!

So are we thinking no draws this week?

No but 50 percent away wins seems ridiculous! One or more of them are bound to drop us, I'm slightly worried about the Palace Spurs game being a potential draw. 10 Nov 07:11
